How to Sell on JioMart: Registration, Fees, JioMart Quick and What to Expect (2026)

By the Blooprint Automation team · Published 18 September 2026 · 7 min read

To sell on JioMart you register at seller.jiomart.com with a regular GST number, PAN, bank account and either a trademark or a brand authorisation letter, list your products, and ship through JioMart's logistics partner or a Reliance fulfilment centre. Listing is free. Fees are a mix of commission, a fixed fee, a collection fee and shipping, and the actual rates are shown only inside your seller account. JioMart Quick, the under-30-minute service, runs on Reliance's own stores and dark stores, so it is a separate conversation from the open marketplace. This guide covers what is confirmed, what is not published, and where sellers go wrong.

What JioMart is, and how it differs from Amazon and Blinkit

JioMart is Reliance Retail's online platform. It launched in 2020 across 200-plus cities and now sells groceries, fashion, electronics, home and kitchen, general merchandise and handloom products. It runs two things at once. First, an inventory business fed by Reliance's own stores. Second, a marketplace where third-party sellers list and ship their own stock. Reliance said the active seller base grew 26 percent year on year in the June 2026 quarter.

Compared with Amazon, the main difference is transparency. Amazon publishes its referral, closing and weight-handling rate cards for anyone to read. JioMart does not. Its FAQ points sellers to the "Profile > Bill Plan" page after login.

Compared with Blinkit, the difference is the model. Blinkit is a pure dark-store business. JioMart is a horizontal marketplace with a quick layer on top of Reliance's store network. If you only want quick grocery delivery, marketplace registration is not the route. See the JioMart Quick section below.

Who can sell

JioMart's own FAQ says any Indian enterprise that is "compliant as under relevant laws in India" and holds the licences its business needs, such as GST and FSSAI, can sell. Two rules matter in practice:

  • You need a regular GST registration. Composition scheme GST is not accepted. Books-only sellers are the one exception.
  • You do not need your own website. JioMart says so directly.

You can start with a single product. JioMart's stated preference is that you list your full catalogue.

JioMart seller registration, step by step

  1. Go to seller.jiomart.com and click "Register Now". The form lives at identity.seller.jiomart.com/seller_registration.
  2. Enter business details and your GSTIN, then upload the GST certificate. A JioMart approver checks it and can reject it with a reason.
  3. Enter your PAN. The portal validates it online.
  4. Complete e-KYC. The form uses Aadhaar or Udyog Aadhaar with an OTP sent to the linked mobile.
  5. Add bank details. IFSC lookup fills the bank name; you upload a bank verification document such as a cancelled cheque or statement.
  6. Add your registered address and every fulfilment centre address you will ship from. The FAQ lists this as a requirement.
  7. Upload brand documents and any category licences under "Manage Documents", then complete the digital signature step.
  8. Once approved, upload your catalogue under Product > Offering and set prices. JioMart says you decide the price.

If registration stalls, JioMart asks you to email seller.onboarding@jiomart.com or call 1800 8896 000. JioMart does not publish a typical approval time. Budget one to three weeks and expect document rejections to be the usual cause of delay.

Documents you need

The official list is short:

  • Regular GST certificate(not composition)
  • PAN
  • Trademark registration, or a brand authorisation letter(a retailer or distributor certificate) if you sell someone else's brand
  • Any government-mandated licence for your category
  • Registered office address and fulfilment centre addresses

For food, FSSAI is not optional. The registration form states that if a fulfilment centre sells food, an FSSAI certificate must be uploaded and the location goes through approval. You may use a site-specific or a central licence. If the licence expires, food listings are switched off until it is renewed.

JioMart's seller privacy policy also names Udyog Aadhaar, trade licence, shop and establishment certificate and distributor bills as documents it may collect. Keep them ready.

Categories that work

JioMart is grocery-first. Reliance says digital channels now make up 13.4 percent of its grocery B2C revenue and grocery digital orders rose 116 percent year on year. The seller privacy policy names dairy, bakery, staples, snacks, branded foods, personal care, baby care, beverages and home care as the categories the platform was built around.

For marketplace sellers, packaged food, home care, personal care, kitchenware, small appliances and regional brands with a price advantage are the sensible entry points. The active category list sits in your Bill Plan page, so check that your category is live before building a catalogue.

JioMart Quick explained

JioMart Quick is the under-30-minute delivery tab inside the JioMart app. Reliance added separate "Quick" and "Scheduled" tabs in early 2025. By March 2026 it covered 5,100-plus pin codes and 1,200-plus cities served by 3,100-plus stores, with average daily orders up over 300 percent year on year. The quarter before that, exit daily orders crossed 1.6 million.

The important point for sellers: Quick is fulfilled from Reliance's own stores and, increasingly, its dark stores. When the pilot began in June 2024, Reliance chose its store network over a dark-store build. There is no public "sell on JioMart Quick" form. A brand gets into Quick by being stocked by Reliance Retail, which means a vendor or distribution conversation with Reliance's category buying teams, not a marketplace listing. Marketplace sellers ship their own orders and are not in the 30-minute promise.

Fees and payments, honestly

Here is what is confirmed. JioMart charges no listing, set-up or subscription fee. Fees are sale-linked and come in four parts:

  • Commission fee, a percentage that varies by category
  • Fixed fee, a per-item amount that depends on selling-price slab
  • Collection fee, per item, sale-linked
  • Shipping fee, charged by JioMart's logistics partner for forward and reverse legs, on the higher of actual and volumetric weight(length x breadth x height in cm divided by 5000)

Here is what is not published. JioMart does not publish commission rates, fixed fee slabs, shipping zone rates or the payment cycle. All of these appear on the Profile > Bill Plan page after login. Third-party guides quote a range of 1 to 15 percent commission, but we could not verify that against any official source, so treat it as a rough guide only.

On top of fees, 18 percent GST applies to JioMart's charges. JioMart collects TCS at 1 percent of net taxable sales under GST, and deducts TDS at 1 percent of gross sales under section 194-O(5 percent if PAN is missing). You must also deduct TDS on JioMart's fee and claim it back by submitting Form 16A. Payments go to your bank account after these deductions.

The portal includes a revenue calculator that estimates cost and profit per product using your own bill plan. Use that rather than any public "JioMart fees calculator", which will be guessing.

Fulfilment and returns

Two models exist. The default is Direct Fulfilment: you pick and pack, mark the order Ready to Dispatch within the cut-off, and JioMart's third-party courier collects from your warehouse and delivers to the customer. You buy your own packaging and follow JioMart's guidelines. The second is JioMart Fulfilment, where you enrol and send stock to a Reliance Fulfilment Centre. The enrolment pages show list prices of Rs 30 per cubic foot per month for storage and Rs 10 per unit for pick and pack, both displayed as struck-through rack rates, with inbounding and transfer charges on top. Your actual rates depend on your account.

Reverse logistics is charged through the same shipping fee. Check the Cancellation and Return Policy inside the JioMart app for category return windows before you price in returns.

Ads and promotions

JioMart lists "advertising" among the services it provides to sellers. We found no public rate card or self-serve ad console. In practice, visibility comes from being in stock across your serviceable pin codes, competitive pricing(Reliance's 2026 campaign line is "Fayda Kamao", value and savings) and platform events such as JioUtsav. Ask your onboarding contact about deal slots rather than expecting an Amazon-style sponsored products console.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Registering with composition GST. It will be rejected.
  • Listing food from a warehouse without an FSSAI upload. Listings stay off until it clears.
  • Ignoring volumetric weight. Bulky, light products get expensive shipping.
  • Pricing from a third-party commission table instead of your own Bill Plan.
  • Forgetting the TDS reclaim. It is your money; file Form 16A.
  • Expecting JioMart Quick placement from a marketplace account. It does not work that way.
  • Listing ten SKUs and waiting. JioMart itself pushes for full catalogue.
