Flipkart Seller Calculator (2026): Fees, Payout, Profit and Margin in Rupees

By Blooprint team · Published 24 September 2026 · 6 min read

Key takeaways

  • Enter selling price, cost, commission, weight and zone and the calculator returns Flipkart's total fees, your payout, profit and margin with 18% GST on fees included.
  • Commission defaults to 0% because Flipkart charges nothing below Rs 1,000 or on fashion; above Rs 1,000 in other categories type the rate from your dashboard.
  • Fixed fee and shipping are pre-filled from price band and weight but are editable, because Flipkart publishes the structure of these fees and not the rupee amounts.
  • The worked example shows a Rs 1,499 kitchen item on COD netting about Rs 1,214 after commission, fixed fee, shipping, collection fee and GST.

Flipkart seller fee calculator

This free Flipkart seller calculator works out what Flipkart deducts from a sale and what lands in your bank account. Enter the selling price, your cost, and the fee lines from your rate card, and it returns total fees, payout, profit and margin, with 18% GST on fees included. It recalculates as you type, and nothing you enter leaves your browser. For the rules behind each line, read our Flipkart seller fees guide; this page explains how to use the tool and where its defaults come from, as of September 2026.

What fees does the calculator include?

Flipkart's own fees page lists five marketplace charges on every successful sale, and the calculator has one line for each:

  • Commission. A percentage of the selling price set by category. Flipkart charges 0% on any product under Rs 1,000 and 0% on all fashion at any price, so the tool zeroes this line automatically when the price is below Rs 1,000 or you tick the fashion box. Above Rs 1,000 in other categories, type the rate from your seller dashboard; press reports put the range at 3% to 25%.
  • Fixed fee. A per-item charge by price band and seller tier. Flipkart publishes the tier structure (Bronze pays Base Rate plus Rs 10, Platinum up to Rs 15 below it) but not the Base Rate. The tool pre-fills Rs 16 up to Rs 500, Rs 24 for Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 and Rs 47 above Rs 1,000, taken from press and industry blogs. Overwrite it with the figure on your rate card.
  • Shipping fee. Set by weight and whether the parcel is local, zonal or national. The one published rule is free local and zonal shipping under 500 g, which the tool applies. The other slabs are illustrative figures in the range sellers report; Flipkart does not publish them, so replace them with your own.
  • Collection fee. A percentage of order value on cash-on-delivery orders only. Enter 0 for prepaid. Flipkart says it varies by price range without giving the rate; 2% is a common starting assumption.
  • GST on fees. 18% on the four lines above. If you are GST-registered, this is claimable as input credit, so treat it as a cash-flow cost rather than a permanent one.

Penalties are left out on purpose. The Rs 30, Rs 60 and Rs 90 dispatch and cancellation charges introduced on 23 August 2026 are avoidable and apply per breach, not per sale. Ads, returns and reverse shipping are also outside the tool; add them to your cost price if you want a fully loaded margin.

How do you use the Flipkart seller calculator?

  1. Enter the price the customer pays. Fees are calculated on this number, not on MRP.
  2. Enter your landed cost per unit including packaging. This only affects profit and margin, not fees.
  3. Tick the fashion box if the product sits in Flipkart's fashion vertical. Otherwise enter the category commission for prices of Rs 1,000 and above.
  4. Check the fixed fee and shipping lines. Both pre-fill from price band, weight and zone, and both accept your own numbers.
  5. Set the collection fee to your COD rate or to 0 for a prepaid order.
  6. Read the results table. Total fees is what Flipkart keeps, payout is the settlement you will see, and margin is profit divided by selling price.

Run the same product at local, zonal and national, and at prepaid and COD, before you fix a price. A national COD order can carry Rs 100 more in fees than a local prepaid one on the same listing.

Worked example: a Rs 1,499 kitchen tool on COD

Assumptions: non-fashion category with an 8% commission (assumed; your dashboard rate governs), packed weight 800 g, zonal delivery, cash on delivery with a 2% collection fee, fixed fee Rs 47 from the pre-fill, cost price Rs 700.

LineAmountBasis
CommissionRs 119.928% of Rs 1,499
Fixed feeRs 47.00Above Rs 1,000 band, pre-fill
ShippingRs 45.00500 g to 1 kg, zonal, illustrative
Collection feeRs 29.982% of Rs 1,499, COD
GST on feesRs 43.5418% of Rs 241.90
Total feesRs 285.4419.0% of price
PayoutRs 1,213.56Price minus fees
ProfitRs 513.56Payout minus Rs 700 cost
Margin34.3%Profit over price

Drop the price to Rs 999 and commission disappears, fixed fee falls to Rs 24, and total fees fall to about Rs 105, so the seller keeps a larger share of a smaller sale. Whether that is a better trade depends on your cost, which is why the calculator asks for it.

Why are the defaults not exact?

Flipkart publishes the structure of its fees, not the rate card. Its fees page says to create a seller account to view the card in the dashboard, and the fixed fee, shipping slabs and collection fee are all described as varying by tier, weight, zone and price range without rupee figures. Any calculator that claims exact Flipkart fees without your login is guessing. This one is honest about it: the two published rules (0% commission thresholds and free sub-500 g local and zonal shipping) are hard-coded, and everything else is an editable placeholder. Your rate card also changes with your Darwin tier, so re-run the numbers after each tier review.

Reading your rate card, modelling margins by price band and zone, and keeping dispatch compliance clean so penalties and Bronze surcharges do not eat your payout is part of our Flipkart account management service.

FAQ

Is the Flipkart seller calculator free? Yes. It runs in your browser with no login and no data sent anywhere. Flipkart's own calculator sits inside the seller dashboard and needs an account.

Why does the commission show 0%? Because the selling price is under Rs 1,000 or the fashion box is ticked. Flipkart charges no commission in either case. Raise the price above Rs 1,000 in a non-fashion category and the rate you enter applies.

Where do I find my actual fixed fee and shipping rates? In Seller Hub under the rate card for your category and tier. Flipkart does not publish these figures, so the calculator's pre-fills are placeholders to overwrite.

Does the calculator include GST? Yes, at 18% on all marketplace fees, editable in the last field. GST-registered sellers can claim it as input credit.

Does it cover returns and ads? No. Returns, reverse shipping and advertising vary too much by listing. Add an average per-unit allowance to your cost price to see a loaded margin.
