noon publishes its seller rate cards in full on its help centre, which makes it easier to plan for than Flipkart or Myntra. As of September 2026 a sale on noon UAE or noon KSA carries a referral fee by category, a fulfilment fee if noon ships it (FBN) or a Directship fee if you ship it yourself (FBP), monthly storage if stock sits in a noon warehouse, a handful of circumstantial charges, and VAT on all of these at 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA. noon revised several referral fees and the FBN outbound table on 10 September 2026 and raises storage fees on 1 October 2026; the figures below are the current ones.

All amounts come from noon's own fee annexes, checked on 24 September 2026. Rupee conversions use an illustrative rate of Rs 23.50 per AED and Rs 23 per SAR; check the day's rate before you price. If you are still deciding how to enter the market, start with how to sell on noon from India.

What fees does noon charge sellers?

noon groups its charges into default fees, circumstantial fees and removal fees:

  1. Referral fee. A percentage of the sale price by product type, "exclusive of VAT", with "a minimum referral fee of 1 AED" (or 1 SAR) per item.
  2. FBN outbound fee. Charged per unit "once an order is first marked Delivered or NDR (Non-Delivered Return)", based on size tier, weight and whether the average selling price is above 25 AED or SAR.
  3. Directship outbound fee (FBP). Charged per shipment when you fulfil from your own warehouse, with separate pickup and drop-off rates.
  4. Monthly storage fee. Per cubic foot per month for stock in a noon fulfilment centre.
  5. Circumstantial fees. Long-term storage, non-saleable storage, warranty, retention penalty, return administration and miscellaneous charges.
  6. Inventory removal fee. When you ask noon to send stock back.
  7. VAT on every line above.

There is no listing fee or monthly subscription on the pages we read. Some product types and brands have "PST and Brand Level exceptions" set out in a separate exceptions sheet, so check that sheet if your category is a big one.

What is noon's referral commission by category?

The full table runs to more than sixty product types per country. The selection below covers the categories Indian exporters most often sell, with the rates in force from 10 September 2026 where a change was made and the standing rate otherwise. UAE and KSA rates are usually identical but not always.

Product type UAE referral fee KSA referral fee
Fashion: apparel, footwear 27% 27%
Bags: travel luggage / all other bags 20% / 25% 20% / 25%
Eyewear 15% 15%
Fine jewellery 16% up to 1,000 AED, 5% on the portion above 15% up to 1,000 SAR, 5% on the portion above

Cleaning and hygiene (from 10 Sep 2026) 7.5% up to 50 AED, 14% above 8% up to 50 SAR, 10% above
Fragrance 14% 15%
Colour cosmetics 8% up to 50 AED, 15% above 15% generic brands, 10% other brands
Hair, skin and personal care 8% up to 50 AED, 15% above 15% generic; 9% up to 50 SAR and 12.5% above for other brands
Health nutrition (from 10 Sep 2026) 8% up to 50 AED, 15% above 8.5% up to 50 SAR, 11% above
Mobile phones, tablets 6% up to 500 AED, 5% above 5% up to 750 SAR, 4.5% above

Books 15% 15% (from 10 Sep 2026)
Sports and outdoors 14% (15% for outdoor sub-types, from 10 Sep 2026) 14% (from 10 Sep 2026)
Stationery 14% (from 10 Sep 2026) 15% (from 10 Sep 2026)
All other categories 14% 14%

Two things stand out. First, fashion at 27% is far above the 0% Flipkart now charges on fashion or the 7% to 23% Amazon.in charges above Rs 1,000 (see our Amazon India fees guide). Second, "portion" pricing matters: on a 1,200 AED fine-jewellery item you pay 16% on the first 1,000 AED and 5% on the remaining 200 AED, not 16% on the whole.

What do FBN fulfilment fees cost?

The FBN outbound fee is one charge per unit that covers pick, pack and delivery. It depends on the size tier (small envelope through bulky), the weight slab, and whether the item's average selling price is at or below 25 AED or SAR. The tables below are the rates effective 10 September 2026 for the tiers most Indian exporters use.

Size tier and weight UAE (AED), ASP up to 25 / above 25 KSA (SAR), ASP up to 25 / above 25
Small envelope, one rate 5.5 / 7.5 5.5 / 7.5
Standard envelope up to 0.1 kg 6 / 8 6 / 8
Standard envelope up to 0.5 kg 6.5 / 8.5 6.5 / 8.5
Large envelope, one rate 7 / 9 7 / 9
Standard parcel up to 0.25 kg 7.2 / 9.2 7.2 / 9.2
Standard parcel 0.5 to 1 kg 8.5 / 10.5 8 / 10
Standard parcel 1.5 to 2 kg 9.5 / 11.5 9 / 12
Standard parcel 2 to 3 kg 10.5 / 12.5 10 / 13
Each extra kg to 12 kg +1 AED per kg +1 SAR per kg
Oversize parcel up to 1 kg 10.5 / 12.5 10 / 14
Oversize parcel 25 to 30 kg 39.5 / 41.5 39 / 43

The 10 September revision raised most UAE slabs by 0.2 to 0.5 AED (a standard envelope up to 0.1 kg went from 5.5 to 6 AED) and dropped the separate "extra oversize" and "bulky" tiers. KSA changes were smaller. Use noon's FBN fee calculator for anything outside the slabs above.

What are storage and the other FBN charges?

  • Monthly storage: 1.5 AED per cubic foot per month in the UAE and 2.5 SAR in KSA until 30 September 2026; 1.75 AED and 2.75 SAR from 1 October 2026. Cubic feet is length x width x height in centimetres divided by 28,317. A separate storage statement is issued "typically during the second week of the following month".
  • Long-term storage: 25 AED or SAR per cubic foot for items aged over 365 days.
  • Non-saleable storage: 12 AED or SAR per cubic foot for damaged or unsellable stock older than 30 days. To avoid both ageing fees, removal requests "should be placed by the 25th of every month".
  • Return administration fee: for seller-caused returns (item not as described, fake, damaged, missing parts and so on), "the lesser of 15 AED or 20% of the referral fee" (15 SAR in KSA).
  • Retention penalty (RETP), warranty (WNTY) and miscellaneous (MISC) fees: charged for counterfeit, defective, expired or mis-listed items and for warranty claims you fail to honour. noon does not publish amounts; they are case by case.
  • Inventory removal: in KSA, a 15 SAR minimum per request plus 0.3 SAR handling per unit and 1 SAR per kg same-city or 2 SAR per kg cross-city. The UAE table is similar; check the removal article.

What does Directship (FBP) cost if you ship yourself?

If you hold stock in your own UAE warehouse, noon charges a Directship outbound fee per shipment, "based on the shipment's dimensions and either the volumetric or physical weight, whichever is higher". The fee is lower if you drop the parcel at a noon hub than if noon collects it.

Standard parcel weight Pickup (AED) Drop-off (AED)
Up to 0.25 kg 14.0 12.0
0.5 to 1 kg 15.0 13.0
1.5 to 2 kg 16.0 14.0
2 to 3 kg 17.5 15.5
Oversize up to 1 kg 18.5 16.5

noon charges the customer a shipping fee of 10 AED on orders under 100 AED, 5 AED on 100 to 500 AED and nothing above, and reimburses that to the FBP seller "up to a maximum of 10 AED per order" after delivery. Cancelling an FBP order costs you a cancellation fee equal to the referral fee for that category. Directship is not available to Indian Global Store sellers, whose stock in noon's free-zone warehouse is charged on the FBN card.

How does VAT work on noon fees?

Every fee above is quoted "exclusive of VAT". noon adds 5% VAT in the UAE and 15% in KSA to its invoice for marketplace services. For an Indian Global Store seller, noon's guide says the marketplace service invoice "will be at the VAT rate of 5% as the cost to Non-resident Seller" in the UAE, and that in KSA "All transactions are VATable @ 15%". noon collects the VAT on the customer's purchase itself and remits it; that does not touch your payout except that your USD price must be set knowing the customer will see a VAT-inclusive AED or SAR price.

A local UAE or KSA company registered for VAT can normally recover the VAT on noon's fees as input tax. A non-resident Global Store seller generally cannot, so treat the 5% or 15% on fees as a real cost when you price.

When and how does noon pay?

noon "generates statements every Wednesday" listing delivered orders, returns, fees and penalties. Payment is weekly provided the statement is positive and your balance meets the threshold: 100 AED, SAR or EGP if your bank account is in the marketplace currency, "1,000 AED / SAR" if it is in a different currency. For the UAE and KSA "Payouts are processed on Thursday of the following week", landing "within 1 to 2 business days". Below the threshold, the balance rolls forward. Claims against a statement must be raised within 15 days. Indian sellers are paid in USD and bear their own bank's receiving charges.

Worked example in AED: a 120 AED home decor item on FBN in the UAE

Assumptions: kitchen and dining category (15% referral), standard parcel between 0.5 and 1 kg, ASP above 25 AED, 30 days of storage at 0.15 cubic feet, sold after 10 September 2026, seller is a non-resident who cannot recover VAT.

Line AED Approx. INR at Rs 23.50 Basis
Sale price (excl. customer VAT) 120.00 Rs 2,820 Your listed price
Referral fee 18.00 Rs 423 15% of 120
FBN outbound fee 10.50 Rs 247 Standard parcel 0.5 to 1 kg, ASP above 25 AED
Storage 0.23 Rs 5 0.15 CBF x 1.5 AED, one month
VAT on fees 1.44 Rs 34 5% of 28.73
Total deductions 30.17 Rs 709 25.1% of sale price
Net before cross-border shipping 89.83 Rs 2,111

A Global Store seller still has to deduct the India-to-Gulf shipping and clearance charge, which noon has not published for this programme, and any return costs, which are non-recoverable for non-residents. Get that shipping figure in writing before you fix a USD price.

Worked example in SAR: a 150 SAR apparel item on FBN in KSA

Assumptions: apparel (27% referral), standard envelope up to 0.5 kg, ASP above 25 SAR, 45 days of storage at 0.1 cubic feet in September 2026, 15% VAT on fees not recoverable.

Line SAR Approx. INR at Rs 23 Basis
Sale price (excl. customer VAT) 150.00 Rs 3,450 Your listed price
Referral fee 40.50 Rs 932 27% of 150
FBN outbound fee 8.50 Rs 196 Standard envelope up to 0.5 kg, ASP above 25 SAR
Storage 0.38 Rs 9 0.1 CBF x 2.5 SAR x 1.5 months
VAT on fees 7.41 Rs 170 15% of 49.38
Total deductions 56.79 Rs 1,306 37.9% of sale price
Net before cross-border shipping 93.21 Rs 2,144

Fashion on noon takes close to 38% before shipping and returns, against under 10% on Flipkart for the same garment (see our Flipkart fees guide). Gulf price points are higher, which is the whole argument for exporting, but the margin maths must be done in AED or SAR, not by converting an Indian price.

How do you keep noon fees under control?

  • Check the exceptions sheet for your product types; brand-level exceptions can move the referral rate several points.
  • Keep the ASP above 25 AED or SAR only when the extra 2 AED or SAR FBN fee is covered; for very cheap items, bundle.
  • Measure packaged dimensions honestly. Size tier is set by noon's warehouse, and a "standard envelope" that measures as a parcel costs more per unit for ever.
  • Remove ageing stock before the 25th of the month to avoid long-term and non-saleable storage fees.
  • Reconcile every Wednesday statement against orders within the 15-day dispute window; this is a standing task in our noon account management work.

FAQ

What commission does noon charge? A referral fee by product type: 27% on apparel and footwear, 14% to 15% on most home, toys and sports lines, 5% to 6% on phones and laptops, with a minimum of 1 AED or 1 SAR per item. Some brands and product sub-types have exceptions.

Are noon fees the same in the UAE and KSA? Mostly, but not always. Home lines are 15% in the UAE and 14% in KSA, fragrance is 14% and 15% respectively, and the September 2026 changes to cleaning, nutrition and headphones differ by country.

What is the FBN fee on noon? A per-unit outbound fee from 5.5 AED or SAR for a small envelope to 12.5 AED or 13 SAR for a 3 kg standard parcel, plus monthly storage of 1.5 AED or 2.5 SAR per cubic foot, rising on 1 October 2026.

Is VAT charged on noon seller fees? Yes, at 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA on every fee. Locally VAT-registered companies can usually recover it; non-resident Indian sellers generally cannot.

When does noon pay sellers? Weekly. Statements are generated on Wednesday and UAE and KSA payouts go out on Thursday of the following week, provided the balance exceeds 100 in local currency or 1,000 AED or SAR for foreign-currency accounts.

Does noon charge for cancellations and returns? An FBP cancellation costs the referral fee for that category. Seller-caused returns carry a return administration fee of up to 15 AED or SAR, and non-resident sellers also bear the import VAT, customs and shipping on returned units.

Getting your noon fees right

noon's rate cards are public, but they change (twice in the last month alone), they differ by country, and the size-tier and exception rules decide the real number. If you want someone to model margins by category in AED and SAR, watch every fee revision and reconcile your weekly statements, see our noon account management service. We run noon alongside Amazon and Flipkart for Indian brands, so the fee comparison across markets is part of the job.
