Amazon Brand Registry is a free program. To enrol you need a pending or registered trademark for your brand name or logo, issued by the government trademark office of a country that has an Amazon store, and your brand name or logo must be permanently affixed to your products or packaging. In return you get A+ Content, Sponsored Brands, Brand Analytics and tools to report infringement. Amazon.ae does not publish a UAE trademark fee or timeline, so this page separates what Amazon states from what you must confirm yourself.

By Blooprint team · Published 10 October 2026 · 7 min read
Key takeaways
- Brand Registry is free, and Amazon says it needs a pending or registered trademark for your brand name or logo.
- The trademark must come from the government trademark office of a country that has an Amazon store; the country list sits behind the Brand Registry login.
- It gives access to A+ Content, Sponsored Brands, Brand Analytics and Report a Violation.
- Amazon does not publish a UAE-specific trademark fee or timeline, so confirm both with the UAE trademark office and your own adviser.

Who is eligible for Amazon Brand Registry on Amazon.ae?
Amazon's Brand Registry page lists three conditions, as of October 2026:
- Your brand name, or a logo that includes the brand name, is permanently affixed to your products or packaging.
- You have a pending or registered trademark for the brand name or logo.
- The trademark was issued by the designated government trademark office of a country with a corresponding Amazon store.
The list of accepted countries and trademark types is shown after you sign in to Brand Registry, not on the public page, so we cannot list them. Amazon also says a pending trademark may be enough, but the public page does not say which offices or marks qualify for which marketplace. Ask Amazon through the enrolment form or Seller Support rather than assuming.
Check this first. You do not need to be an Amazon seller to enrol. Amazon describes Brand Registry as a program that helps you protect and grow your brand "even if you don't sell in the Amazon store".
Do you need a UAE trademark?
That depends on which office issued your mark and which stores you enrol it in. Amazon states only the rule above. Some law-firm articles say a mark registered with the UAE trademark authority is the safest basis for the Amazon.ae store, and that verification is by a code sent to the registered agent. Those are secondary sources, and we have not found Amazon stating them, so treat them as leads to confirm, not as rules.
What is safe to say:
- A trademark in a country with an Amazon store is the stated requirement.
- A pending application may be accepted, per Amazon's page.
- UAE trademark fees, examination times and publication steps are set by the UAE trademark authority, not by Amazon. They are not on Amazon's pages, and we do not quote them here. Get a written quote from a UAE trademark attorney.
If you do not have a trademark yet, Amazon points sellers to its IP Accelerator program, which connects you with legal service providers it has vetted. Amazon does not state the cost on the page.
What does Brand Registry give you on Amazon.ae?
Amazon lists many benefits; these four matter most to a new UAE seller:
| Benefit | What Amazon says | Why a UAE seller cares |
|---|---|---|
| A+ Content | Videos, enhanced images, product-comparison charts and more on your listings | Richer detail pages convert better than plain text; see the A+ Content glossary entry |
| Sponsored Brands | "Cost-per-click ad campaigns featuring multiple products from your brand" | Brand-level ads above and within results; see Amazon.ae PPC |
| Brand Analytics | Customer search and purchase trends | Tells you what shoppers search for before you spend on ads |
| Report a Violation | Detect and report suspected IP infringement | Gives you a route against counterfeit or hijacked listings |
The listing guide presents A+ Content as a benefit for brands enrolled in Brand Registry, and says enrolment needs a text- or image-based trademark. Amazon also notes that enrolling can help you "personalize your brand and product pages" and unlock additional advertising options.
How do you enrol step by step?
Amazon's page tells you to use the "Enroll your brand" link and gives step-by-step instructions for the application. In practice:
- Get the trademark right first. The brand name on your application must match your trademark exactly. Typos here cause rejections.
- Gather proof of use. Photos of the brand on the product and packaging, since Amazon requires it to be permanently affixed.
- Sign in at Brand Registry. Use the Amazon account you want to own the brand. This account becomes the brand's owner, so use a company login, not a freelancer's.
- Enter the trademark number, office and the product categories you plan to sell.
- Complete verification. Amazon verifies that you own the mark. The method depends on the office and is shown in the application.
- Add team members and your agencies with limited roles once approved.
Amazon does not publish an approval time on the public page. If the application stalls, Seller Support is the route.
Worked example: when does Brand Registry pay for itself?
Illustrative only, using Amazon's own ad guidance. A UAE skincare brand sells at AED 60 and wants to run Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands together. Amazon recommends a minimum daily budget of AED 40 for Sponsored Products in the UAE. If Brand Registry gives the brand A+ Content and Sponsored Brands access, the same AED 40 a day can be spread across product-level and brand-level ads. Sponsored Brands is listed as a Brand Registry benefit, so without enrolment you are limited to the other ad types. The registry is free, so the main cost is the trademark and your time, not Amazon's fee.
Accounts with a Dubai Trade License can also claim up to AED 2,000 cashback on advertising (100% of monthly ad spend) under the DET x Amazon Accelerator, from 1 January to 31 December 2026. Brand Registry is not part of that offer, but it widens what you can spend the budget on.
What goes wrong with Amazon.ae Brand Registry?
- Trademark pending but wrong class. A mark filed in a class that does not cover your products may not support the categories you list.
- Brand name on the listing differs from the mark. Fix the listing's brand field before you enrol.
- Reseller or distributor enrolling someone else's brand. Only the rights owner or an authorised agent should apply.
- Using a throwaway account. A brand owned by an agency's login is hard to recover if the relationship ends.
- No packaging proof. Photos of the product with the name affixed are needed; stickers on the outer carton alone may not count.
If a listing for your brand is hijacked, Report a Violation is the tool; see also Amazon.ae account health and Amazon.ae restricted products.
Does Brand Registry help with Arabic content and keywords?
Brand Registry gives you the tools for richer content, including A+ Content modules. It does not itself add Arabic. Amazon says its Middle East audience is bilingual and recommends running ad campaigns in both Arabic and English. We cover listing language in Arabic listings on Amazon.ae.
FAQ
Is Amazon Brand Registry free? Yes. Amazon calls it a free program that helps you protect and grow your brand, even if you do not sell in the Amazon store. The costs are the trademark itself and any legal help you use to get it.
Can I join Brand Registry with a pending trademark? Amazon's page says you need a pending or registered trademark, so a pending application can qualify. The public page does not say which offices accept pending applications for which store. Confirm in the enrolment form.
Do I need a UAE trademark to use Brand Registry on Amazon.ae? Amazon requires a trademark issued by a country with a corresponding Amazon store. It does not publish the country list publicly. Check the list after sign-in, or ask Seller Support, before you file in a new country.
Can distributors or resellers enrol a brand? Brand Registry is for the brand's rights owner or its authorised agent. A reseller of someone else's brand does not qualify on its own. The public pages do not explain the authorisation process, so ask Seller Support.
What do I get from Brand Registry? A+ Content, Sponsored Brands, Brand Analytics and Report a Violation. Amazon also says it helps protect trademarks and opens more advertising options.
How long does Brand Registry approval take? Amazon does not publish a timeline on its public Brand Registry page. Plan a few weeks of buffer if you are launching ads or A+ Content around a date such as a sale event.
What if I do not have a trademark? Amazon points to IP Accelerator, which connects you with Amazon-vetted legal service providers. Fees are set by the providers and are not on Amazon's page.
