Amazon PPC on Amazon.ae means paying only when a shopper clicks your ad. Sponsored Products campaigns have no monthly or upfront fees: you set a maximum bid per click and a daily budget. For the UAE, Amazon recommends a minimum daily budget of AED 40 for Sponsored Products. Amazon does not publish a minimum bid on its Sponsored Products page, and it does not publish average click prices for the UAE, so any cost-per-click figure you read elsewhere is an estimate.

Who can run Amazon ads in the UAE?

Amazon says advertisers can be professional sellers, vendors, book vendors, Kindle Direct Publishing authors or agencies. Your products must be in an eligible category and be eligible for the Featured Offer. Amazon says adult, used and refurbished products, and products in closed categories, are not eligible at this time.

Amazon's page uses the term Featured Offer, where many sellers say Buy Box. If your offer is not winning it, because of price, stock or account health, your ads may not show. See Amazon.ae account health and the Sponsored Products glossary entry.

Amazon lists three advertising solutions available in Seller Central: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Stores. Sponsored Brands needs Brand Registry; see Amazon.ae Brand Registry and the Sponsored Brands glossary entry.

How much does Amazon PPC cost on Amazon.ae?

There is no price list. Amazon describes its model as cost-per-click and auction-based, and you choose the maximum you will pay. What you control:

Control What Amazon says Practical effect
Bid "You bid the maximum amount that you're willing to pay when a shopper clicks" Caps your cost per click, not what you actually pay
Daily budget A daily amount you are willing to spend "over a calendar month"; budgets are not paced through the day A small budget can be used up within minutes of a busy morning
Recommended minimum daily budget (UAE) AED 40 A starting point, not a hard floor
Fees "No monthly or upfront fees" for Sponsored Products You only pay for clicks

Sources: and.

Amazon explains the budget over a month: a daily budget is the amount you are willing to spend "over a calendar month", and Amazon's own example of a 100-a-day budget allows up to 3,100 of clicks in a 31-day month, so on the same logic a campaign at AED 40 a day can spend up to about AED 1,240 in a 31-day month. Amazon also says daily budgets are not paced through the day, so a small budget can be spent in a few minutes.

Worked example: is an AED 40 daily budget enough?

Illustrative numbers only, not Amazon data. Suppose you sell a home item for AED 90 with AED 50 left after cost of goods, referral fee and fulfilment (see Amazon.ae referral fees). Your break-even ACOS is 50 / 90 = 55.6%: spend more than AED 50 in ads per AED 90 sale and you lose money on that sale.

Line Value (illustrative)
Daily budget AED 40
Assumed cost per click AED 1.20
Clicks per day if budget is spent 33
Assumed conversion rate 8%
Orders per day 2.7
Sales per day AED 240
ACOS 40 / 240 = 16.7%

At those assumed numbers the ad is profitable. Halve the conversion rate to 4% and sales fall to about AED 120, ACOS rises to 33%, still under break-even. The example shows how to test the logic, and you need your own click and conversion data. Read ACOS and TACoS before you pick a target.

How should you structure the first campaigns?

Amazon's guidance for non-US marketplaces gives two rules for Sponsored Products:

  • Use all four match types in automatic targeting to keep discovering new keywords and traffic.
  • Combine broad and exact matches in manual targeting to expand reach while keeping precision.

A starting structure many sellers use:

  1. Automatic campaign for each hero product, to discover search terms.
  2. Manual exact campaign for the keywords that already convert.
  3. Product targeting campaign at competitor products and related items, which Amazon says is done with manual targeting on specific product categories and competitor ASINs.
  4. Negative keywords added weekly from the search term report. See the negative keywords glossary entry and Amazon negative keywords guide, and Amazon PPC campaign structure.

Should you run Arabic keywords on Amazon.ae?

Amazon says the Middle East is a bilingual marketplace, that English is primary in the UAE, and that you should "run campaigns in both Arabic and English". Keep Arabic in its own campaign so its results are readable. Details are in Arabic listings on Amazon.ae.

Is there any ad credit for UAE sellers?

The DET x Amazon Accelerator Program offers up to AED 2,000 cashback, equal to 100% of monthly ad spend, on Amazon Advertising from 1 January to 31 December 2026, for eligible accounts with a Dubai Trade License that comply with Amazon policies. The page does not say whether the AED 2,000 cap applies per month or to the whole programme, and it does not describe how cashback is claimed beyond registering through its form. Confirm both with Amazon before you build a budget on it. It is 2026-only, so it ends before most sellers plan their 2027 budgets.

How do you read the results each week?

Keep the weekly review short and the same every time:

  1. Spend and sales by campaign. Which campaigns are above break-even ACOS, and which are below?
  2. Search terms. Move converting terms into exact-match campaigns, and add wasteful terms as negatives.
  3. Top-of-search and placement. Compare cost and conversion by placement before raising bids.
  4. Listing signals. Impressions without clicks point to an image or title problem; clicks without orders point to price, reviews or the detail page.
  5. Stock. An ad that sends traffic to an out-of-stock item wastes the budget and can hurt ranking.

Change one thing at a time, and wait long enough to see the effect. Changing bids, budgets and keywords on the same day makes it impossible to tell what worked. For deeper diagnosis, see how to reduce ACOS on Amazon and the Amazon PPC audit checklist.

How do you plan ads around a sale event?

Sale events raise competition. Raise budgets ahead of the event, not during it, and keep your price and stock stable so the Featured Offer is not lost. Amazon publishes no UAE sale-day bid benchmarks, so use your own last-year data. See the White Friday seller playbook.

What goes wrong with Amazon PPC?

  • Budget too low to learn. Spread AED 40 across eight campaigns and each gets AED 5.
  • Only auto campaigns, never harvesting. The search term report is where wins are found.
  • No negatives. Irrelevant terms drain budget.
  • Ads on a weak listing. Poor images, price or reviews turn clicks into cost. See Amazon listing optimisation.
  • Ignoring VAT. Amazon's fees exclude VAT and VAT is added; it is recoverable only if you are VAT registered.
