Amazon.ae FBA Fees in 2026: Per-Unit Fulfilment Rates, Storage and What Amazon Does Not Publish

Amazon.ae charges a flat FBA fulfilment fee per unit, set by size tier, shipping weight and whether the unit sells for AED 25 or less. As published on Amazon's UAE seller site, the fee table effective 1 August 2025 runs from AED 5.50 for a small envelope up to AED 21.50 for a standard parcel of up to 12 kg priced above AED 25. Amazon pays out FBA sales proceeds every two weeks, with fees deducted first. Storage is a separate charge of AED 2 per cubic foot per month. All fees are shown excluding VAT. What does FBA cost on top of the referral fee?

An FBA sale carries a referral fee that varies by category (most rates are between 4.5% and 15%, with a minimum of AED 1 in most categories and AED 0 for Grocery and Pet Products), plus a per-unit fulfilment fee, plus monthly storage. There is no fixed subscription for FBA, no contract and no minimum inventory requirement, and you pay only for the logistics services and storage you use.

How are FBA size tiers defined?

Amazon.ae first sorts each packed unit into a size tier, then looks up the weight band. The tiers published on the pricing page are:

Dimensions are for the item fully packaged. A parcel that fits the standard size but weighs more than 12 kg is also treated as oversize.

What is the FBA fulfilment fee per unit?

The table below lists the standard parcel and envelope rates in AED per unit, excluding VAT, effective 1 August 2025. The left price column applies to units selling for AED 25 or less; the right column applies above AED 25.

The pricing page lists every weight band from 0.25 kg to 12 kg, rising by AED 1 per kg between the larger bands. A large envelope (up to 33 x 23 x 5 cm and 1 kg) costs AED 7.00 at AED 25 or less and AED 7.50 above AED 25.

What are the oversize FBA fees?

Oversize units start at AED 10.50 for up to 1 kg when the selling price is AED 25 or less, and AED 12.50 above that. At 10 kg the fee is AED 19.50 or AED 21.50, at 15 kg it is AED 24.50 or AED 26.50, and at 30 kg it is AED 39.50 or AED 41.50. Above 30 kg, Amazon adds AED 1 per extra kg.

How is FBA storage charged?

Storage is billed on your daily average volume in cubic feet at AED 2 per cubic foot per month. To convert, multiply length x width x height in cm and divide by 28,316.84. Amazon's own example: a unit of 47 x 12 x 10 cm is 0.199 cubic feet.

The charge usually appears between the 7th and 15th day of the following month, so January storage shows in the February settlement. Amazon's measurement governs if it differs from yours.

Stock that has sat in a fulfilment centre for 365 days or more incurs a long-term storage fee, and dangerous goods carry extra storage fees. The pricing page does not state the long-term rate or the removal fee in AED, so read your Seller Central fee schedule before you send slow-moving stock. Can new products avoid some FBA costs?

Amazon.ae runs a New Selection programme for new-to-FBA ASINs, described as limited time with no end date published. For standard-size units it offers free monthly storage on the first 50 units for 90 days after the first unit is received, and free removals for 180 days. Oversize gets 30 units; apparel and shoes get 100 units for 120 days.

In the UAE there is also up to AED 200 of sponsored ads credit, the second AED 100 after advertising for at least 30 days, and the first AED 100 of inbound shipping waived through the Amazon Partnered Carrier programme. Amazon decides qualification after enrolment and waives the fees automatically for eligible products.

Worked example: what is left of an AED 80 product?

This is an illustration. Take one 400 g standard-parcel unit selling at AED 80 in a category with a 10% referral fee (the "All Other Categories" rate, source: https://sell.amazon.ae/pricing).

What goes wrong with FBA fees?

• Wrong dimensions. If your listed size is smaller than Amazon's measurement, Amazon's measurement governs. Measure the packed unit, not the product.
• Crossing AED 25. A unit priced at AED 24.90 pays AED 2 less than one at AED 25.10 in the same weight band. Check promotion prices against the threshold.
• Slow stock. Anything near 365 days is exposed to the long-term fee. Plan removals before that date.
• Using old tables. Amazon changes fees. Anything dated before 1 August 2025 is out of date.
