Amazon Australia does not publish a dated "EOFY sale" for sellers on any public page as of 19 October 2026. Shoppers hunt for end-of-financial-year bargains across Australian retail in June, and Amazon sellers can take part with coupons and pricing, but a seller-facing EOFY deal window is something Amazon would show you inside Seller Central, not on a public page. What is confirmed is the big July event that follows: Prime Day 2026 ran from 7 to 13 July.

Amazon EOFY Sale in Australia: What Sellers Can Plan For, and What Amazon Has Not Said
By Blooprint team ยท Published 20 October 2026 ยท 6 min read
Key takeaways
- No public Amazon Australia seller page names a dated EOFY sale or a seller submission window, so treat any exact EOFY deal date as unconfirmed until Seller Central shows it.
- Amazon does run its own big events: Prime Day 2026 was 7 to 13 July, which falls just after the 30 June financial year end, so June stock decisions matter.
- Deals (Lightning Deals, Best Deals) need a Professional plan at A$49.95 a month excl. GST; coupons come from the Coupons dashboard.
- EOFY is also your tax deadline season: stocktake, GST and BAS records are separate jobs from the sale and are best confirmed with the ATO or a registered tax agent.

Is there an official Amazon EOFY sale in Australia?
No Amazon-owned public page names an EOFY sale, gives it dates, or invites sellers to submit deals to it. Amazon's published seller material names Prime Day, and its news pages name Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days. That is not proof Amazon never promotes June shopping, only that it has not said so publicly.
So you have two honest options. Either you wait to see whether a banner or deals invitation appears in your account, or you run your own June promotion with the tools every Professional seller has. Do not build a plan around a specific EOFY date quoted by an agency or a deals website. Third-party sale calendars list retail events, not Amazon commitments.
The word EOFY itself is explained in our glossary entry on EOFY. The retail year as a whole is on the Amazon Australia sales calendar.
Which tools can you use for a June promotion?
Sellers on a Professional plan can create two deal types, Lightning Deals and Best Deals, and set up coupons from the Coupons dashboard. Eligible FBA products can also be featured on Amazon Outlet. The Professional plan costs A$49.95 a month plus selling fees, excluding GST.
Amazon does not publish fees, minimum discounts or deadlines for those tools in Australia. They appear in Seller Central when you create the promotion. Our deals and coupons guide covers how to approach them.
If you are on the Individual plan (A$0.99 per unit sold, plus selling fees), you cannot create deals. Moving to Professional makes sense when your monthly volume justifies it. Amazon suggests Professional for sellers selling more than 50 items a month.
Why does June matter for stock and cash?
Three reasons.
First, Prime Day sits right after the financial year ends. Prime Day 2025 ran for seven days and Prime Day 2026 matched it. Stock you receive in June is on the lower storage rate: monthly storage is A$37.00 per cubic metre for standard-size items from January to September, excluding GST.
Second, aged inventory. Units held more than 270 days attract the aged inventory surcharge, starting at A$155 per cubic metre for 271 to 300 days, assessed on the 15th. A June clearance can stop stock tipping into a higher band. If you want to clear FBA stock, Amazon Outlet is one route for eligible FBA products.
Third, cash. Amazon pays only when the account is settled with a positive balance, by electronic funds transfer, and it can take up to five business days to reach your bank. Heavy June discounting reduces the cash you can use to restock for July.
What should you do before a June sale?
A simple order of work:
- Pull sales and stock by ASIN. Mark slow movers and anything near 270 days.
- Work out the lowest price each ASIN can go to after referral fee, fulfilment fee and GST. Referral rates are in Amazon Australia referral fees by category.
- Decide whether each product gets a coupon, a deal if Seller Central offers one, or an ad push.
- Check FBA fees. Amazon reduced selected FBA and MCF fulfilment fees effective 10 June 2026, with other fees unchanged at that time.
- Keep ads on the products that have stock. Amazon's minimum daily budget for Australia is listed as 15 in local currency.
Check this first. Discounts change your GST and your margin at the same time. A coupon reduces the price the customer pays, so the GST in the sale changes with it. Confirm treatment with the ATO or your tax agent.
What is confirmed and what is not?
| Item | Status as of 19 October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Amazon-named EOFY sale and dates | Not published on any public Amazon page |
| Seller EOFY deal submission window | Not published publicly; would be in Seller Central |
| Lightning Deals and Best Deals need Professional | Confirmed |
| Coupons dashboard available | Confirmed |
| Prime Day 2026 dates | 7 to 13 July 2026 |
| Deal and coupon fees in Australia | Not published publicly |
Use the table as a filter. If an article gives an EOFY date or a deal fee that is not in the left column with a source beside it, treat it as a guess.
A four-week June plan
This is a suggested sequence, not an Amazon rule. Adjust it to your stock and cash.
- Week 1 (start of June): Export stock by ASIN and age. Tag products you want to clear, products you want to protect and products that should not be discounted at all.
- Week 2: Set coupon or price changes for the clear group. Test one or two ASINs before applying the change across the catalogue.
- Week 3: Move ad budget towards ASINs that have stock and a healthy margin. Pause ads where you are low on cover.
- Week 4 (to 30 June): Take a stock count and save your settlement reports for your accountant. Then switch prices back or roll the promotion into Prime Day planning.
What tax-time jobs sit next to the sale?
The sale is a marketing task. EOFY is also a record-keeping task, and the two collide in June. Common items sellers handle with an accountant include a stocktake, reconciling Amazon settlement reports with your accounting software, and checking BAS and GST records. Our guides on GST for Amazon sellers and BAS for Amazon sellers explain the concepts.
This is general information, not tax advice. Confirm your obligations, deductions and deadlines with the Australian Taxation Office or a registered tax agent. Amazon says sellers are responsible for their own taxes, and that fees payable to Amazon are exclusive of GST and similar taxes.
FAQ
Does Amazon Australia have an EOFY sale? Amazon has not announced a dated EOFY sale on any public page as of 19 October 2026. Its publicly named events are Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days. If a seller invitation exists, it will be in Seller Central.
When is the EOFY sale on Amazon Australia in 2027? There are no published dates. Treat any exact date you see on a third-party site as unconfirmed. Plan your own June promotion, and adjust if Amazon invites you to something official.
Can I run an EOFY discount without Lightning Deals? Yes. Coupons are set up from the Coupons dashboard, and you can reduce your own price. Check your margin after fees first, and avoid stacking a coupon on top of a price cut without working out the total.
Is Prime Day the same thing as EOFY? No. Prime Day is an Amazon event for Prime members, and in 2026 it ran from 7 to 13 July. EOFY is a tax-year end that retailers use as a sales hook. See Prime Day for Australian sellers.
Do EOFY discounts affect my GST? Discounts change the sale price, and GST is calculated on what the customer pays. How you report it depends on your registration and accounting method. This is general information. Ask the ATO or a registered tax agent.
Should I clear aged stock in June? It is worth checking. The aged inventory surcharge rises with age, from A$155 per cubic metre at 271 to 300 days to A$370 per cubic metre or A$0.12 per unit at 366 days or more, whichever is greater. Compare the discount with the fees you would otherwise pay.
