Myntra's End of Reason Sale is the fashion event that most resembles a stress test: two weeks of deep discounts, a return window that runs a month past the sale, and a marketplace where most sellers hold stock on a sale-or-return basis. The brands that come out ahead are the ones that treat returns as a planning input, not an afterthought. This 2026 playbook is refreshed yearly, with every date in the "This year's dates" note. Read our Myntra seller fees guide for the commission and logistics stack before you set discounts, and see our Myntra account management service if you want the event run for you.

Myntra EORS Seller Playbook 2026: Stock, Discounts, Returns and Pacing
By Blooprint team · Published 25 September 2026 · 7 min read
Key takeaways
- EORS 2026 ran from 29 May to 14 June with early access on 28 May; Myntra listed 6 million styles from 15,000 emerging brands, 5,000 of them debuting.
- Myntra reported first-time shoppers up 1.3x year on year, 55% of them from non-metro cities, and 40% average demand growth for Made-in-India D2C brands.
- Myntra's 30-day return window applies during EORS, so a sale ending 14 June still generates returns in mid-July; plan stock and cash on gross orders.
- A ₹1,50,000 EORS budget paces at 15% in the pre-week, 35% on early access and days one to three, 30% on days four to ten and 5% after.

What does the four-week countdown look like?
Myntra manages sale participation through its Partner Portal and category teams: your account manager confirms which styles are in the event, at what discount, and what stock Myntra wants in its warehouses. There is no self-serve deal portal in the Amazon sense, so the countdown starts with that conversation.
| Week | Inventory | Discounts and pricing | Ads and visibility | Listings and returns |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 weeks out | Confirm the style list with your category manager. Size-curve the order: last EORS's sell-through by size, not a flat multiplier. Book inbound to Myntra's warehouse for sale-or-return stock. | Agree discount depth per style. Compute net realisation after commission, logistics and expected returns before you say yes to a number. | Pull search and listing performance for 60 days; shortlist styles for Myntra's sponsored placements; brief creative for banner slots if your brand qualifies. | Audit top 50 styles: model images on the correct size, size chart, fabric and care attributes, video where allowed. Fix catalogue rejections. |
| 3 weeks out | First inbound. Fashion returns run high, so plan cover for gross orders, not net; see the returns paragraph below. | Confirm that the approved discount does not push you under floor; correct MRP mismatches, which Myntra de-lists during sales. | Raise budgets 20% to 30% so campaigns learn before the sale. | Answer questions; check that every style shows the correct return window and delivery promise. |
| 2 weeks out | Second inbound for hero styles with a 30% buffer on core sizes. Confirm reverse-logistics capacity for post-sale returns. | Price parity with your own D2C site and other marketplaces; Myntra monitors this during events. | Raise bids on proven styles; set up brand-day or category-day slots if offered. | Brief customer service on exchange rules; pre-print return QC guidelines for your warehouse team. |
| 1 week out (early access week) | Freeze counts; audit sizes physically. A size that is listed but not on the shelf is a cancellation. | Load coupon eligibility; check that the discount badge shows on the app for each style. | Loosen efficiency targets by a few points so campaigns keep spending as competition rises. | Write the daily check sheet for the 17 days. |
Returns are the input most sellers get wrong. Myntra's standard 30-day return and exchange window applies during EORS, so a sale that ends on 14 June is still generating returns in mid-July. Agency checklists budget around 15% for fashion returns on marketplaces generally (Techqueto); on Myntra, ethnic wear and footwear commonly run higher, and your own last-edition number by style is the only figure worth planning on. Our how to sell on Myntra guide explains the sale-or-return model that makes this matter.
What do you check during the sale?
- Daily: sell-through by style and size against plan; move budget to styles with full size runs and away from styles broken in core sizes.
- Daily: cancellation and breach rates on seller-fulfilled orders; a bad EORS week lands on your account rating for the quarter.
- Every two days: ad efficiency by style against the net realisation after expected returns, not gross sales.
- Stock rule: when a style's core sizes drop below three days of cover, pull it from paid placements; a broken size run converts poorly and returns often.
- Price checks: Myntra flags MRP or parity issues fast during events; check the notifications tab twice a day.
Two habits pay for themselves. First, watch the exchange rate, not just the return rate: a style with high exchanges and low returns has a size-chart problem you can fix mid-sale by editing the chart, while a style with high returns for quality reasons should come off paid placements the same day. Second, keep a written log of every discount or listing change you make during the sale with the time and the reason; when the reconciliation arrives a month later, that log is the only way to explain why a style's realisation moved.
What does the post-event month look like?
- Returns intake. Set up a returns QC line before the sale ends. Grade every return: resellable, refurbishable, write-off. Log reasons by style; size-fit reasons point at size-chart fixes, quality reasons at the factory.
- Reconciliation. Match Myntra's payment statements against dispatched orders, returned units, commission and logistics fees. Raise claims for damaged or wrong returns inside the window.
- Restore bids within 48 hours of the sale ending.
- Cool down. Keep hero styles in stock at normal ad levels; EORS velocity lifts organic placement for weeks. Clear broken size runs through Myntra's own later events rather than deeper coupons.
- Retro. Sell-through by style by day, return rate by style and reason, ad efficiency, stock-out days. The December EORS is six months away and the plan is this page.
What went wrong for sellers last year?
- Fashion did not grow the way sellers planned in the festive window. Redseer's read of the first 11 days of festive 2025 put fashion growth in low single digits while smartphones and appliances carried the season. Sellers who used festive numbers to plan the December EORS carried inventory into the new year.
- Non-metro demand was under-served. Myntra reported that 55% of first-time EORS 2026 shoppers came from non-metro cities such as Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Indore and Surat. Brands that stocked warehouses nearest metros saw longer delivery promises in those cities and lost the click.
- D2C brands that showed up won. Myntra reported 40% average demand growth for Made-in-India D2C brands under Rising Stars and 70% for a handful of named brands. The lesson is less about those brands than about the programme: if you qualify for a Myntra brand programme, join it before the event, not after.
How do you pace a rupee ad budget?
Take a brand that normally spends ₹60,000 a month on Myntra visibility and sets aside ₹1,50,000 for the 17-day EORS window plus a pre-week. Myntra's paid placements are bought differently from Amazon or Flipkart CPC, so treat the shape as a pacing curve rather than a bid plan.
| Phase | Share | Budget | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-sale week (7 days) | 15% | ₹22,500 | Build wishlist and rank on hero styles |
| Early access and days one to three | 35% | ₹52,500 | Peak traffic; full size runs only |
| Days four to ten | 30% | ₹45,000 | Shift budget to styles still in full sizes |
| Days eleven to end | 15% | ₹22,500 | Pull broken styles; hold hero styles |
| Two days after | 5% | ₹7,500 | Restore normal levels |
Judge the spend against net realisation: gross sales less commission, logistics and the return rate for that style. A style that returns at 35% needs a far better gross efficiency than one that returns at 12%, and a sale-week average hides that.
FAQ
When is Myntra EORS? Myntra runs EORS twice a year, in late May or June and in December. The 2026 summer edition ran from 29 May to 14 June with early access on 28 May; December dates are announced closer to the event.
How do I get my styles into EORS? Through your Myntra category manager and the Partner Portal; there is no self-serve deal portal. Confirm the style list, discount and inbound quantity about four weeks before the event.
What return rate should I plan for? Myntra's standard 30-day return window applies during EORS. Agency checklists budget around 15% for marketplace fashion; on Myntra, ethnic wear and footwear commonly run higher, so use your own last-edition figure by style.
How much stock does Myntra want? Your category manager will ask for inbound against the styles in the event. Size-curve it from last edition's sell-through, add a 30% buffer on core sizes, and plan for gross orders, not net.
Do EORS sales lift rank afterwards? Sell-through during the event lifts organic placement for weeks, provided the style stays in stock in its core sizes afterwards.
What did Myntra report for EORS 2026? First-time shoppers up 1.3x year on year, 55% of them from non-metro cities, and 40% average demand growth for Made-in-India D2C brands under Rising Stars.
