Yellow Friday is noon's answer to Black Friday and the largest sale week in the Gulf. For an Indian brand selling on noon in the UAE and Saudi Arabia it is also the hardest event to plan, because the stock has to cross a border, clear customs and sit in a noon fulfilment centre before the sale, and because noon's 11.11 sale lands two weeks earlier and drains the same inventory. This 2026 playbook is refreshed yearly, with every date in the "This year's dates" note. Noon Yellow Friday 2026 Playbook for Indian Sellers: Stock, Deals, Ads and Pacing
By Blooprint team · Published 25 September 2026 · 7 min read
Key takeaways
- Noon's 2025 Yellow Friday ran 20 to 30 November with up to 80% to 90% off headlined; 2026 dates are unannounced and trackers expect the same window.
- Noon's 11.11 sale lands two weeks before Yellow Friday and drains the same FBN stock, so an Indian seller should ship for both events six weeks out.
- UAE and KSA are separate FBN stock pools, and deal prices should be built from landed cost including 5% customs duty, 5% VAT and noon fees.
- An AED 25,000 event budget paces across two peaks: about 30% on days one to three and 24% on the headline Friday weekend, with 16% in the pre-week.

What does the four-week countdown look like?
Noon confirms event participation through the Seller Lab and your account manager: which SKUs, at what price, and how much stock it wants in its fulfilment centres (FBN). For a cross-border seller, the week numbers below are counted from the sale, but the inbound must be counted from the port.
| Week | Inventory | Deals and pricing | Ads | Listings and operations |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 to 4 weeks out | Ship. Sea freight from India to Jebel Ali is roughly a week in transit plus customs and FBN receiving; air is days but costs more. Stock for 11.11 and Yellow Friday together, or the second event starts empty. | Submit Yellow Friday SKUs and prices via Seller Lab. Compute landed cost per SKU in AED or SAR: product, freight, 5% customs duty, 5% VAT and noon fees. Our noon landed cost calculator does this. | Pull search-term and campaign data for 60 days; build exact-match sets for the event SKUs; add negatives. | Audit top SKUs in both English and Arabic: titles, bullets, images, GTIN, brand registration. Fix suppressed listings. |
| 3 weeks out | Confirm FBN receipt. Send a second air shipment for hero SKUs if the sea shipment is short. Plan a 30% buffer on hero SKUs. | Confirm accepted deals. Check that the deal price is a real discount on recent price; noon monitors price history. | Raise daily budgets 20% to 30% so campaigns exit learning. Add Sponsored Brands if eligible. | Reply to reviews; check the Express badge on every event SKU (FBN stock earns it). |
| 2 weeks out (11.11 week) | Watch 11.11 sell-through daily; it tells you which Yellow Friday SKUs will run short. Re-order air stock now if needed. | Hold Yellow Friday prices; do not undercut them at 11.11 or the later event looks weak. | Treat 11.11 as the ranking run-up: bid up 20% to 30% on proven terms. | Brief customer service on both markets; UAE and KSA return rules differ. |
| 1 week out | Freeze counts for any seller-fulfilled stock; audit it. | Load coupon eligibility; check that the deal badge shows on the app in both countries. | Loosen efficiency targets slightly; set budget caps by day for the eleven days. | Write the daily check sheet. |
The cross-border point is worth restating: an Indian seller who ships in early November for Yellow Friday will usually miss it. Plan the freight in October, and remember that the shipment that arrives late for Yellow Friday can still serve the Ramadan run-up if it is not seasonal stock. See the fulfilled by noon and VAT in UAE and KSA glossary entries for the mechanics.
What do you check during the sale?
- Daily, by country: spend against plan, sell-through by SKU, and FBN stock cover. UAE and KSA are separate stock pools; a SKU sold out in Riyadh with stock in Dubai is still sold out for the Saudi shopper.
- Daily: return on ad spend by campaign against each SKU's break-even after landed cost, not gross price.
- Stock rule: pause ads on any SKU under three days of cover in that country.
- Price checks: noon flags price-history and parity issues quickly during events; check Seller Lab notifications twice a day.
- Currency: if you price in AED and sell in SAR, check the cross rate weekly; a sale-week margin can be lost to a rate move you never saw.
Yellow Friday shopping in the Gulf peaks in the evening and late at night, after work and after dinner, and the headline Friday falls on the weekend in both markets. Staff the check sheet for those hours in Gulf time, not Indian office hours; a stock-out or a lost deal badge at 10 pm in Dubai is 11:30 pm in Bengaluru, and the shopper will not wait for the morning. If your team is in India, a rota of two people covering evenings through the eleven days costs far less than the sales missed in one unattended night.
What does the post-event month look like?
- Restore bids within 48 hours.
- Reconcile in each currency. Match noon's statements against orders, returns, commission, FBN fees and VAT. Raise claims for damaged or wrong returns inside the window.
- Returns. Noon's return windows are shorter than Indian marketplaces', so the returns tail is shorter too; grade returns at the FBN level and decide between re-listing, removal and disposal before storage fees accrue.
- Cool down into Ramadan. Yellow Friday ends in late November; the Ramadan run-up starts within weeks. Keep hero SKUs in stock and use the December lull to inbound Ramadan stock. Our Ramadan playbook picks up from here.
- Retro: units by SKU by country by day, stock-out days, ROAS by campaign, landed margin by SKU.
What went wrong for sellers last year?
- Stock arrived after 11.11 and short for Yellow Friday. Noon's own coverage of the 2025 event, quoted by Gulf Business, described late nights and tight coordination on the seller side; the sellers with stock in FBN before 11.11 were the ones that could sell through both events. This is the most common failure in the cross-border accounts we audit and we say so from that experience, not from a published figure.
- Discounts headlined at 80% to 90% set shopper expectations. Gulf Business reported noon rolling out up to 90% off on selected lines and meals from AED 1 for the 2025 event. A brand offering 15% in that context needs a listing and a review base that justify it; the mistake was entering the event on price alone.
- Pricing without landed cost. Sellers who set deal prices off the Indian selling price, then paid 5% duty, 5% VAT, freight and noon fees, discovered the margin after the sale. Compute landed cost per SKU before you submit a deal.
How do you pace an ad budget?
Take a brand that normally spends AED 8,000 a month on noon ads across UAE and KSA and sets aside AED 25,000 (about ₹5.7 lakh at recent rates) for the eleven days plus a pre-week.
| Phase | Share | Budget | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-sale week (7 days) | 16% | AED 4,000 | Exits learning; builds rank after 11.11 |
| Days one to three | 30% | AED 7,500 | Highest traffic; daily checks by country |
| Days four to seven | 26% | AED 6,500 | Shift budget to SKUs with cover in both countries |
| Headline Friday and weekend (days eight to eleven) | 24% | AED 6,000 | Second peak; pull SKUs under three days of cover |
| Two days after | 4% | AED 1,000 | Restore normal bids |
Yellow Friday has two peaks, the opening days and the headline Friday, which is why the shape is not simply front-loaded. Judge every campaign against landed margin per SKU in the country it sells in.
FAQ
When is noon Yellow Friday 2026? Not yet announced as of September 2026. The 2025 edition ran 20 to 30 November; trackers expect 20 to 30 November 2026 with the headline Friday on 27 November.
How early should an Indian seller ship stock for Yellow Friday? Six weeks out for sea freight, allowing for transit, customs and FBN receiving, and in time for the 11.11 sale two weeks earlier. Air freight buys back time at a cost.
How do I get SKUs into Yellow Friday? Through Seller Lab and your noon account manager, who confirm SKUs, prices and the stock noon wants in FBN. Deal prices must be real discounts on recent price.
Do I need separate stock for UAE and KSA? Yes. FBN stock pools are per country; a SKU in stock in Dubai is out of stock for a Riyadh shopper.
What discount do shoppers expect? Noon headlines up to 80% to 90% off on selected lines. Most brands compete at far less, which is why listing quality, reviews and the Express badge matter as much as price.
How should I price deals? From landed cost per SKU in AED or SAR: product, freight, 5% customs duty, 5% VAT and noon fees. Never from the Indian selling price.
