Deal tags are the main traffic mechanism on noon. What sellers usually miss is that noon runs several distinct promotion types with completely different economics: some you fund, some noon co-funds, one noon funds entirely, and one reduces your commission rather than your price. Picking the wrong one is how a seller ends up discounting 15% to win visibility they could have had for nothing.

Noon Deals and Promotions (2026): Every Deal Type, Who Funds It, and How to Enrol
By Blooprint team · Published 27 September 2026 · 10 min read
Key takeaways
- noon runs at least eight promotion types, and only two of them cost you nothing: noon-funded deals, which noon pays for entirely, and commission-drop deals, which cut your fee.
- On a price-drop deal noon co-funds the discount and your commission is charged on the seller post-discount price, not on the lower price the customer pays.
- A deal price above noon's recommended enrollment price still enrols the SKU but loses the deal tag, which is the part that actually generates the traffic.
- Category deals need SKUs enrolled at least four days before the promotion starts, and flash and mega deal submissions are decided three days before go-live.

Everything below is from noon's own seller help centre, read on 27 September 2026. It applies equally to a UAE or KSA-based seller and to an Indian brand on the cross-border route, though the Indian seller should model the discount against landed cost in rupees rather than against the AED price. All promotion screens sit under Promotions in Seller Lab — our noon Seller Lab guide maps the navigation.
Who pays for each noon deal type?
Start here, because it is the only question that changes your margin:
| Deal type | Who funds the discount | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Category deals | You | Year-round campaigns with a deal tag; the workhorse |
| Flash deals | You | Short, aggressive bursts with heightened placement |
| Mega deals | You | Four slots on the noon landing page |
| Price drop deals | Shared — you and noon | A lower customer price than you could fund alone |
| Commission drop deals | Neither — noon cuts your fee | Lower price without losing margin |
| noon-funded deals | noon, entirely | noon subsidising your price to stay competitive |
| Coupons and promo codes | You | Checkout-level discounts, budget-capped |
| Virtual bundles | You | Basket size, without building physical bundles |
noon confirms that all sellers are eligible to participate in its promotions regardless of whether they use FBN or FBP, though mega deals favour FBN in practice. Deal planning is one of the first things we take over on our noon account management service. Before you model any of this, know what noon already takes per order — see noon seller fees explained.
What is the enrollment price, and why does it decide everything?
For category deals, noon calculates a recommended enrollment price per SKU. You can price above it, and noon spells out the consequence: at or below the enrollment price you get the deal tag on the platform and the visibility that comes with it; above it, "you would miss out the deal tag on the platform. But the SKUs will still be enrolled in the deal". That is the difference between a discount that buys traffic and a discount that buys nothing.
You request enrollment prices in bulk: under Promotions, then Deals, then Imports, then Enrollment price imports, then Generate Prices. You download a template, fill in the deal code, partner ID, partner SKU and business model, upload it, and noon returns a file with its recommended price per SKU. Do this before you plan the campaign, not after, because the recommended price is what tells you whether the deal is affordable at all.
noon also lists the preconditions for any promotion to go live: the item must be in a category included in the campaign, its minimum and maximum price ranges must be updated, the deal price must sit within the SKU minimum and below the current offer price, and items must be active — though noon says active-but-not-yet-live items will be included once it makes them live.
Deadlines, from noon's own articles. Category deals: enrol SKUs at least four days before the promotion starts. Flash deals and mega deals: noon approves or rejects "three days before the go-live date of the campaign". Coupons: the same three-day decision point. Miss these and you are not in the campaign, whatever your price.
How do price drop deals split the discount?
Price drop is the deal type most worth understanding, because noon puts its own money in and because the commission arithmetic is not obvious. noon's own worked example, on a 15% price drop split 7.5% seller and 7.5% noon:
| Line | AED |
|---|---|
| Enrollment price | 100.00 |
| Your discount at 7.5% | −7.50 |
| Seller post-discount price | 92.50 |
| Additional discount funded by noon at 7.5% | −7.50 |
| Final price to the customer | 85.00 |
noon states that "your commission is calculated on the Seller Post Discount price. In the above case, it will be calculated on 92.5 AED". So you fund half the discount and pay commission on 92.50 rather than on the 85.00 the customer sees. The split percentage is set by noon and shown in the deal details before you enrol. In fashion at a 27% referral fee, that is 24.98 AED of commission instead of the 22.95 AED you might have assumed from the customer price — a 2 AED difference per unit that matters at volume.
Price drop also exists as a self-serve tool. In the upgraded Promotion Center, noon describes Price Drop as "a new discount type where you set your own price for an item and it goes live instantly, no approval needed from noon" — useful when you cannot reach a deal price but still want to move part of the catalogue.
Are commission drop deals the best deal on noon?
For margin, usually yes. Commission drop lets you offer a product at a lower price tier and pays you back with a reduced commission rate. noon runs two tiers, Silver and Gold, where Gold is the deeper price cut and carries the lower commission, and you can switch between them. noon says "all sellers are eligible to participate in the Commission drop if they have eligible products", and each SKU shows a maximum stock amount for the deal alongside the current price and current commission.
The reason to check this first is simple: it is the only deal type where the discount you give the customer is partly funded by a fee reduction rather than entirely by your margin. noon does not publish the commission percentages for each tier — they appear against your own eligible SKUs in Seller Lab — so compare the two tiers on your own products before committing.
What are noon-funded deals, and should you opt out?
noon-funded deals are the one promotion with no cost to the seller. When noon identifies a pricing opportunity it lowers the customer-facing price, pays the difference itself, and invoices and pays you on your original submitted price. In noon's words: "This promotion is 100% funded by noon; your margins remain protected."
You can opt out per SKU with a toggle under My Deals, or turn off future participation entirely under Store Management, then Store Settings, then Promo Settings. Our view: leave it on unless you have a contractual price floor with a distributor or a brand-positioning reason to hold price, because you keep your full payout and gain a deal tag. Do watch it against your other channels, since a noon-funded price cut can undercut your own website or your Amazon.ae listing without you having chosen to.
How do flash deals and mega deals differ?
Flash deals are short and deliberately competitive; noon's framing is that the short window "encourages the seller to be more aggressive". You enrol per SKU or in bulk with a deal import template carrying the deal code, partner ID, partner SKU, deal price, deal stock, business model and marketplace code. noon warns the deal price must be less than the current offer price to be approved, and you can edit deal price and stock, toggle individual SKUs on and off, and add SKUs after the deal has started.
Mega deals compete for four slots on noon's landing page, showing the top deals for the categories in the deal schedule. You use a calendar to pick date ranges by category. noon says FBP items can be submitted but that these "will get approval only in case it exceptionally appealing when compared to SKUs in the FBN warehouse" — in other words, mega deals are effectively an FBN play. If you are choosing fulfilment models with events in mind, see noon FBN vs FBP.
Category deals run all year and are the baseline: enrol, price at or under the enrollment price, submit for approval. Status values to watch are "Deal Tag Approved" (you have the tag), "Enrolled" (in the deal, no tag) and "Pending".
What about coupons, promo codes and virtual bundles?
noon runs two seller-funded checkout discounts. Clickable coupons appear as a checkbox on the product page and apply automatically at checkout. Promo codes are shown on the product page for the customer to copy and enter in the order summary. The enrolment flow is the same for both: pick the campaign, select SKUs, review the post-coupon price noon calculates from your current offer price, accept the terms, then set a campaign budget. noon's stated minimum budget is 500 AED, SAR or EGP. Campaigns are approved or rejected three days before go-live, and bulk enrolment uses a template of coupon code, partner SKU, marketplace code and partner ID.
Virtual bundles group up to ten SKUs at a bundle price without you building or stocking a physical bundle. You name the bundle, set quantities per SKU, then treat it like a listing: pick a category (you can paste a similar product's page URL to find it), fill in at least the title, and set the offer price. It appears on the platform as a combo, showing the original prices and the bundled price. Bulk creation uses an import template with the bundle SKU, quantity, partner SKU and a primary flag.
Why did my promotion submission get rejected?
noon publishes the rejection reasons, and almost all of them are mechanical rather than commercial:
| Rejection reason | Fix |
|---|---|
| Deal does not exist, deal inactive | Pick a deal that is live and available in that period |
| Deal is not valid for the partner | Your business model or product category is not eligible for that deal |
| Family not valid for deal | The SKU is outside the campaign's eligible categories |
| Not in NSKU price range | noon has not set a price range for that product — ask your account manager or seller support |
| Not in PSKU price range | Download the partner SKU price range template and set your own minimum and maximum |
| Deal price greater than current price | The deal price must be below the marketplace price and inside the min–max range |
| PSKU is not live | Read the Health tab on the product, or the not-live items export, for the underlying reason |
| PSKU does not exist | The SKU was deleted; create a new one |
| PSKU already enrolled | No action — you submitted it twice |
Note how many of these come back to price ranges. If your partner minimum and maximum are not maintained, you are locked out of promotions before anyone looks at your price.
The new Promotion Center, and what changed
noon is rolling out an upgraded Promotion Center: a clearer view of active campaigns and performance, plus a campaign calendar. It began with a small group of sellers on 25 September 2026 and scales to all sellers over the following weeks. noon says existing enrolments carry over untouched, there is no downtime and nothing to prepare. Two substantive changes come with it: for noon deals you will now see the recommended price your item must reach to qualify, and you can only submit once your price is at or below that level; and Price Drop arrives as an instant, self-serve discount type. The new centre groups everything into joining existing deals (noon deals, flash deals, cofunding deals, other campaigns) and building your own discounts (vouchers, price drop, bundle discount), with seven-day and thirty-day performance metrics.
Building a deal calendar instead of reacting to one
The sellers who make money on noon promotions decide their floor price per SKU once, check commission drop before funding any discount themselves, take noon-funded deals for free, and treat flash and mega deals as paid visibility with a modelled cost per unit. The ones who lose money enrol at whatever price noon recommends, three days before a campaign, without looking at landed cost. Paid advertising sits on top of all this rather than replacing it — see our noon ads guide. If you want the calendar planned a quarter ahead with the margin pre-approved, that is part of our noon account management service.
FAQ
Which noon deal type costs the seller nothing? noon-funded deals. noon lowers the customer price, pays the difference and still pays you your full submitted price. You can opt out per SKU or turn off future participation in Store Settings.
How is commission calculated on a price drop deal? On the seller post-discount price, not the final customer price. In noon's example a 100 AED item discounted 7.5% by you and 7.5% by noon is commissioned on 92.50 AED while the customer pays 85 AED.
What is the enrollment price on noon? noon's recommended deal price for a SKU. Price at or below it and you get the deal tag and its visibility; price above it and you stay enrolled but lose the tag.
How far in advance do I need to enrol? At least four days before a category deal starts. noon approves or rejects flash deals, mega deals and coupon campaigns three days before the campaign goes live.
What is the minimum budget for a noon coupon campaign? noon states a minimum of 500 AED, SAR or EGP per campaign, set when you enrol.
Can FBP sellers get into mega deals? They can submit, but noon says FBP SKUs are approved for mega deal slots only where they are exceptionally appealing compared with FBN stock, so treat mega deals as an FBN play.
