noon ads is the self-serve advertising system for sellers on noon in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. For an Indian brand selling cross-border it is the main way to get a new listing seen, and it behaves differently enough from Amazon Ads that the habits you bring from India will cost you money in the first month. noon runs a first-price auction, offers three bidding modes, quotes bids in the local currency of each market and deducts ad spend from your weekly payout. This guide explains, as of September 2026, how sponsored Product Ads and Brand Ads work, how bidding and budgets are set in AED and SAR, what ROAS noon reports and what a sensible target is, how to set up a first campaign, and how to plan for Yellow Friday. Where noon publishes no number it says so. For the fee stack that ads sit on, read our noon seller fees guide; for onboarding from India, how to sell on noon; for landed cost in AED, the noon landed cost calculator.

noon's ad help lives at adsupport.noon.com and its seller help at helpcenter.noon.partners. Campaigns are created inside Seller Lab at seller.noon.com. The support address noon publishes for ad questions is adsupport@noon.com.

What ad products does noon offer?

ProductPricing modelWhere it showsTargeting
Product Ads (sponsored products)Cost per clickSearch results and category pages, marked sponsoredAuto, or manual by keyword and category
Brand AdsCost per clickBrand-level units on search with several productsKeyword and category
Display AdsCost per thousand impressionsBanner placements across the app and siteAudience and placement, managed

Product Ads are where almost every seller starts and where this guide concentrates. They are the equivalent of Amazon Sponsored Products: your existing listing, in a sponsored slot, paid when someone clicks. Brand Ads need a registered brand. Display is CPM inventory that noon's help centre documents but that in practice is bought with help from the ads team and larger budgets.

How does bidding work on noon?

noon ads uses a first-price auction. noon's help centre says it plainly: advertisers pay the exact bid amount they set when they win. That is the single biggest difference from Amazon, whose second-price-style auction charges you just above the next bid. On noon an over-high bid is not insurance; it is the price. Three bidding strategies are available on a campaign:

  • Fixed bid: a static amount per click.
  • Dynamic bid, down only: noon lowers your bid in low-competition moments to save spend.
  • Dynamic bid, up and down: noon raises your bid by up to 2x in high-competition periods and lowers it in quiet ones.

Targeting is auto or manual. Auto targeting applies one default bid across the keywords and categories noon picks. Manual targeting takes a bid per keyword or category, and noon offers three bid suggestions: the recommended bid, which it defines as the 70th percentile of winning bids for that target; the maximum recommended bid, the 90th percentile; or a custom amount. noon updates suggested bids daily. On top of that you can adjust bids by placement, raising the top-of-search bid by up to 900%; noon's own example is a bid of 1 with a 100% top-of-search increase becoming an effective bid of 2. noon claims top-of-search placement roughly doubles click-through rate, lifts sales about 20% and adds 30% visibility; those are noon's marketing figures, not independent ones. See our glossary on dynamic bidding and placement bid adjustment for the Amazon equivalents.

What do bids and budgets look like in AED and SAR?

noon does not publish minimum bids or minimum daily budgets. Two reference points exist. noon's own scaling guide says bids typically range from 0.5 to 10, in the local currency, depending on category, and recommends starting auto campaigns with a low bid to discover search terms. A 2026 third-party marketplace comparison quotes minimum bids of around 0.50 to 1.00 SAR per click. Treat both as ranges, and use the recommended bid in the console for the real number.

Budgets are set per campaign as a daily budget, which noon defines as the average amount you are willing to spend each day, with a start and end date. Bids and budgets are in the currency of the market you advertise in: AED for noon.com in the UAE, SAR for Saudi Arabia, EGP for Egypt. For an Indian seller, at roughly ₹23 to ₹24 per dirham and ₹22 to ₹23 per riyal in September 2026, an AED 1 click is about ₹23 and a AED 50 daily budget is about ₹1,150 a day, several times what the same starting campaign costs on Flipkart. Budget in the local currency and convert only for your own books.

How is noon ad spend billed?

noon's billing FAQ states that advertising fees are automatically deducted from your weekly revenues. Marketplace sellers get a weekly statement every Wednesday covering the Wednesday-to-Tuesday period; retail partners get monthly statements. If your revenue in a period is smaller than your ad spend you carry a negative balance, which you can clear by wire transfer, and noon sets spend limits per advertiser that rise as invoices are cleared. VAT treatment is not spelled out in the billing FAQ; expect UAE and KSA VAT rules to apply and check the VAT in UAE and KSA entry for what that means for an Indian company. noon's help also mentions promotional ad credits for new sellers, 500 to begin with and up to 1,000 US dollars through its Seller Accelerator Program; eligibility and currency are whatever your account shows.

What ROAS does noon report, and what is a good target?

noon's campaign reports give impressions, clicks, spend, orders, attributed sales, conversion rate, effective cost per click and ROAS, with a Detailed Target Performance report at keyword and category level and visibility metrics. Some third-party guides describe the efficiency metric as ACoS; the current help centre pages use ROAS, and the two are reciprocals, so a 4x ROAS is a 25% ACoS.

noon publishes no ROAS benchmark, and we found no credible independent figure for noon specifically as of September 2026. The target therefore has to come from your margin, which for an Indian cross-border seller has more lines than a domestic one:

Line on an AED 120 productAED
Selling price120.00
noon commission and fees (illustrative 15%)18.00
Fulfilment and outbound (illustrative)12.00
Landed cost from India, incl. freight and duty (illustrative)55.00
Contribution before ads35.00 (29%)
Break-even ROAS3.4x

Every line in that table is illustrative; noon's real commission by category is in our fees guide, and landed cost is in the calculator. The point is the last row: at a 29% contribution the campaign breaks even at 3.4x ROAS, and a 5x campaign nets AED 11 per order after ads. A seller with a 20% contribution needs 5x just to stand still. Set the ROAS target from this arithmetic, then check it against the noon-wide reality that CPCs in the UAE run several times Indian levels while average order values are also higher.

How do you set up a first noon ads campaign?

  1. In Seller Lab, open the ads section and create a campaign: name, start and end date and time, daily budget. noon suggests naming by brand, product family, month and targeting type, for example "Brand Kettles | October | Auto".
  2. Choose Product Ads, auto targeting, dynamic bid down only, and a bid at the low end of the recommended range. Add your best five to ten listings with stock at noon's warehouse.
  3. Run 10 to 15 days, the review window noon itself recommends, then open the Detailed Target Performance report.
  4. Create a manual campaign with the converting search terms as phrase and exact keywords at the recommended bid, and add a top-of-search adjustment of 25% to 50% on your two or three best sellers.
  5. Keep the auto campaign running at a lower bid as a discovery engine, and review weekly: bids, negative terms, stock and effective CPC.

Fulfilment matters more than on Indian marketplaces: an ad on a listing that ships from India in ten days will lose to a Fulfilled by noon competitor that ships tomorrow. Get stock into noon's warehouse before you spend on ads.

How do you plan noon ads for Yellow Friday?

Yellow Friday is noon's answer to Black Friday and its biggest sale of the year, with the Singles' Day event on 11 November as a warm-up. Coupon and deal sites list the 2026 edition around 20 to 30 November; noon announces the official dates to sellers through Seller Lab closer to the time, so treat those as expected rather than confirmed. Competition for sponsored slots rises across the whole of November, and the first-price auction means the price rises with it. A plan for an Indian seller:

  1. Early October: ship stock to noon's warehouse so it is received and live by the end of the month, allowing for the sea or air leg from India.
  2. Two weeks before: raise daily budgets on proven campaigns by 50% to 100% and switch the best sellers to dynamic up-and-down bidding so noon can compete for slots.
  3. Sale week: check spend daily; with payouts weekly and spend limits per advertiser, a campaign that hits a limit mid-sale simply stops.
  4. After: return to down-only bidding within 48 hours and judge the event only after the return window closes.

Common mistakes Indian sellers make on noon ads

  1. Bidding as if the auction were second-price. On noon you pay what you bid.
  2. Running ads on listings that ship from India rather than from noon's warehouse.
  3. Reading ROAS without landed cost, freight and duty in the margin.
  4. Judging a campaign in five days when noon recommends 10 to 15.
  5. Forgetting that the ad bill comes out of the weekly payout, so cash flow tightens in a sale month.

If you would rather have that handled by a team that runs noon accounts for Indian brands day to day, see our noon account management service, which covers ads, listings and warehouse planning together.

FAQ

How do noon sponsored Product Ads work? They are cost-per-click ads for your existing listings on search and category pages, created in Seller Lab, with auto or manual keyword and category targeting, run in a first-price auction where you pay exactly what you bid.

What is the minimum bid on noon ads? noon publishes none. Its own help quotes a typical range of 0.5 to 10 in local currency depending on category, and a third-party guide quotes about 0.50 to 1.00 SAR; use the recommended bid shown in the console.

What is a good ROAS on noon? noon publishes no benchmark and there is no reliable independent figure. Compute break-even as one divided by your contribution margin after noon fees, fulfilment and landed cost from India; many Indian sellers land between 3.5x and 5x as a break-even.

How is noon ad spend paid? It is deducted automatically from weekly payouts, with a statement every Wednesday. If spend exceeds revenue you carry a negative balance and can settle by wire transfer.

What bidding strategies does noon offer? Fixed bid, dynamic down only and dynamic up and down, which raises bids up to 2x in competitive periods. Placement adjustments of up to 900% apply to top-of-search.

When is noon Yellow Friday 2026? Deal sites list it around 20 to 30 November 2026; noon confirms dates to sellers through Seller Lab. Stock should be in noon's warehouse by the end of October and budgets raised two weeks ahead.

Getting noon ads to pay from India

noon gives you a clean auction, honest bid suggestions and weekly billing; what it does not give you is your margin in dirhams after freight and duty, or the discipline to bid like a first-price auction demands. Get stock into the warehouse, set the ROAS target from landed cost, and review on noon's 10-to-15-day cycle. Our noon account management service does this for Indian brands selling in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
