What counts as same-day delivery for a seller?

Couriers and sellers use the word differently, so define it in your contract. Common versions are:

• Same-day, order by cut-off. An order placed before a stated time arrives by the end of the day.
• Scheduled same-day. The customer picks a window, for example evening.
• Rapid or on-demand. A rider is assigned to a single order within hours. Aramex's express page describes a product it calls Aramex dash with a guaranteed 2-hour option, based on what its pages show in search results, and we could not open the full page to confirm terms.
• Next-day. Often confused with same-day. Treat it as a separate service.

Write down which of these you want. A courier that says "same-day" without a cut-off time has not promised anything you can use.

1. Stock sits in Dubai, in a warehouse your courier can collect from before the cut-off.
2. Orders sync to the warehouse in minutes, not hours.
3. Picking and packing finish within a fixed time after the order.
4. The courier collects at a set time, then delivers by the end of the day.
