A UAE-only company cannot register as a noon Egypt seller. noon's documents page says that for Egypt, "your company has to be mandatorily registered in Egypt to be able sell in noon Egypt". That is different from the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where noon accepts international sellers whose company is registered elsewhere. If you want noon Egypt, you need an Egyptian entity, or an Egyptian individual with a Data Certificate. This page lists what noon asks for, as of October 2026, and the realistic options for a UAE-based seller.

How to Sell on noon Egypt from the UAE in 2026: Egyptian Company Rule, Documents, Tax Card and Alternatives
By Blooprint team ยท Published 10 October 2026 ยท 6 min read
Key takeaways
- noon's international-seller table says your company must be registered in Egypt to sell on noon Egypt, so a UAE-only company cannot register for Egypt as an international seller.
- Egypt is the only noon country that also accepts individual sellers, using a personal Data Certificate instead of a trade license.
- A valid Tax Card is mandatory for Egypt, while VAT registration is optional: non-VAT sellers can choose the Non-VAT option when creating the legal entity.
- Bank details are optional at registration but needed for payouts; they must match the company name, and personal bank accounts are not accepted.

Check this first. Egypt has its own tax, customs and foreign-ownership rules that this page does not cover. Speak to an Egyptian lawyer or accountant before you form an entity.
Can a UAE company sell on noon Egypt?
Not directly. noon says it is open to businesses and individuals across the UAE, KSA and Egypt, and sets three seller categories:
| Category | Meaning | Egypt |
|---|---|---|
| Local seller | Your business is registered in the country where you sell | Yes: company registered in Egypt |
| International seller | Your business is registered outside the country where you sell | Not applicable for Egypt |
| Individual seller | Personal Data Certificate | Egypt only |
The international-seller row is from noon's documents page, which shows "Not applicable" for every Egypt requirement and gives the Egypt-registration reason.
A UAE-registered company that wants Egyptian customers on noon therefore has three routes: form or acquire an Egyptian company, partner with an Egyptian seller or distributor who sells your goods, or skip Egypt and use the markets noon opens to UAE sellers, covered in noon GCC cross-border lane.
What documents does noon Egypt ask for?
From noon's documents page, for local and individual sellers in Egypt:
| Document | noon Egypt requirement |
|---|---|
| Commercial registration | Company registered in Egypt; individual sellers give a Data Certificate instead |
| Tax Card | Mandatory for Egypt |
| VAT certificate | Optional: choose "Non-VAT Registered" if you are not VAT registered |
| Identity | Egyptian National ID or passport |
| Bank proof | Cancelled cheque, bank letterhead letter signed and stamped, or bank statement; no personal accounts; bank name must match the legal registered name. noon says bank details are optional for registration but ensure payouts |
noon's eligibility page adds that the trade license or commercial registration must include sales, trading, manufacturing or distribution/wholesale, and must have at least 30 days of validity at submission. The documents page quotes a shorter validity of at least 15 days. The two pages differ, so use the longer period.
Other rules from noon's documents page: each document set must be unique to one account, the ID must belong to the person named on the license (otherwise a power of attorney is needed), and a license limited to services is not accepted. The eligibility page adds that a business representative must be assigned to manage the account.
Does noon Egypt require VAT registration?
noon's own pages say no, with a caveat. As a local or individual seller you can sell without VAT registration by selecting the Non-VAT option, but Egyptian sellers must always give Tax Card information.
noon's VAT FAQ adds three points. A seller with a registered company in the UAE, KSA or Egypt can sell without VAT registration by choosing "Non-VAT Registered"; VAT-registered sellers pay VAT to the government themselves, while non-VAT sellers are not liable to pay it; and noon's fees and commissions carry VAT on top for both kinds of seller. The same FAQ says noon emails sellers whose paid revenue approaches the mandatory VAT threshold, which it gives as 375,000 SAR/AED or 500,000 EGP.
That is noon's platform rule, not Egyptian tax law. Whether you must register for VAT in Egypt depends on Egyptian rules I did not verify here, so ask an Egyptian adviser. The same applies to Egyptian e-invoicing obligations.
For comparison, noon's local-seller document table requires a valid VAT registration number from all sellers operating in KSA. See Saudi VAT for UAE companies.
How do you register once you have an Egyptian entity?
- Prepare the documents in the table above, in scan form.
- Create your noon seller account and choose Egypt as the selling country.
- Create the legal entity and enter the Tax Card details or the Non-VAT option.
- Upload the commercial registration, identity and bank proof.
- Wait for noon's verification and fix any "ineligible" flag using noon's help article.
noon links a step-by-step registration guide from its eligibility page. noon does not publish a verification time on the pages I opened. The UAE version of the same process is in noon seller registration for a UAE company.
What can a UAE seller do instead?
- Start with the UAE and Saudi Arabia. noon accepts UAE-registered sellers locally and, for KSA, through a separate cross-border lane. See noon GCC cross-border lane and how to sell on noon KSA.
- Use an Egyptian distributor. The distributor holds the Egyptian entity, you supply stock under a written contract that names brand rights, pricing and returns.
- Form an Egyptian company. This is a legal and tax decision outside this guide, with its own costs. I found no published noon figure for it.
Check the commercial side too: customs, import permits and product rules in Egypt are not covered by noon's pages. noon has a separate compliance policy for phones. Under NTRA regulations effective 1 January 2025, sellers offering mobile devices in Egypt must declare each IMEI accurately, register devices on the NTRA platform and meet import duties, taxes and customs documentation before delivery. noon says costs from a seller's failure to comply are the seller's responsibility and it may deduct them from the seller's account without notice, and repeated non-compliance can lead to listing removal or account suspension. If you plan to sell electronics, read sell electronics online in the UAE for the UAE-side rules.
What should you ask an Egyptian partner or adviser?
Before you sign anything, get written answers to these, because noon's pages do not cover them:
- Who is the importer of record, and who pays customs duty and Egyptian tax on each shipment?
- Which entity holds the noon account, the Tax Card and the bank account, and who controls the login?
- What happens to the account, stock and brand listings if the partnership ends?
- Which products need Egyptian approvals before import, such as phones under the NTRA rules above?
- How are payouts converted and moved to the UAE, and what does the bank charge?
Keep the answers with your brand-rights documents. Compare the effort with simply serving Saudi Arabia first through how to sell on noon KSA.
What goes wrong with noon Egypt applications
- Registering with a UAE license and being told Egypt needs an Egyptian company.
- A bank letter in a personal or different name from the company.
- Reusing the same documents on a second account, which noon does not allow.
- A license whose activities are service-only, which noon does not accept.
