The main Amazon Australia fee change in 2026 is a cut to selected FBA and Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) fulfilment fees, effective 10 June 2026. Amazon described it as one of its largest-ever reductions for these fees. It did not publish a list of old and new rates in the announcement, and it said other fulfilment fees remain unchanged "at this time". This page separates what is announced from what is not, as of October 2026.

What did Amazon announce for 2026?

One fee change, confirmed on Amazon's own pages:

Item Detail Status
Selected FBA fulfilment fees Reduced "depending on product category, size tier and item price" Announced, effective 10 June 2026
Selected MCF fulfilment fees Reduced, with discounted multi-unit rates across envelope and standard parcel size tiers Announced, effective 10 June 2026
Other FBA and MCF fulfilment fees "Remain unchanged at this time" Announced as unchanged
Currency and tax Fees are in Australian dollars and exclude applicable taxes such as GST Stated by Amazon

Sources for the table: the announcement in Amazon's Seller Central news forum and Amazon's pricing page. The announcement says Amazon "will continue reviewing our fees", so more changes are possible. It does not name any.

Which FBA fees fell, and by how much?

Amazon has not published a before-and-after table. The announcement lists no dollar or percentage amounts and points sellers to the FBA and MCF fee schedules. So the size of your saving depends on your category, size tier and price.

The current public schedule shows two price columns, item price A$13 or more and under A$13. For example, a parcel of 0 to 250 g is A$7.34 at A$13 or more and A$6.43 under A$13, excluding GST. The page does not say which rows were reduced in June, so do not assume every row fell. Use Amazon Australia FBA fees for the full table, and your Seller Central fee preview for the exact charge on each ASIN.

Did the Professional plan fee or referral fees change in 2026?

Amazon has not announced one. Its pricing page shows the Professional plan at A$49.95 a month excluding GST, and the Individual plan at A$0.99 per item excluding GST. No 2026 announcement changes referral rates, and the public pricing page only shows the current table, with no dated change log. That is absence of evidence, not a promise. For the current rates, see Amazon Australia referral fees by category and the Professional plan fee.

What changed in 2025 and earlier?

These are not 2026 changes, but they explain today's rate card.

  • 1 August 2025. Amazon said it would adjust some fees to "better align with our underlying costs" and to encourage efficient use of FBA storage. It said a number of fees stay unchanged, including the Professional subscription and most referral fees. The post gives no figures.
  • 28 October 2025 and 1 December 2025. Amazon's FBA New Selection programme applies to listings buyable on or after 28 October 2025, with an Inventory Performance Index (IPI) of 300 or more required from 1 December 2025. It cuts the referral fee to 5% for 120 days on eligible new-to-FBA parent ASINs, which is a programme incentive, not a rate change.
  • 1 October 2024. Amazon staff announced a A$0.91 per unit FBA fulfilment fee discount for items priced under A$13. The pricing page's "under A$13" column reflects this style of discount.
  • 15 April 2024. An Amazon representative said fulfilment fees fell by about A$0.20 per standard-size unit, with an extra A$0.77 off for items under A$10, and described the new inbound placement fee that was first charged on 15 April 2024.

What is not announced or not published?

  • Storage fees. The current public rates are A$37.00 per cubic metre per month for standard-size items from January to September and A$51.80 from October to December, excluding GST. No dated 2026 announcement changes them. See Amazon Australia storage fees.
  • Returns, removal and disposal amounts. Amazon publishes these inside Seller Central rather than on a public page. See returns fees and removal and disposal fees.
  • Storage capacity limits. Amazon says limits can depend on your selling plan and IPI, and publishes no numeric limits.
  • Fees for deals and coupons. Published inside Seller Central.
  • Peak-season or 2027 changes. None announced by Amazon so far.

Be careful with third-party posts that quote exact new rates. Amazon's announcement contains none, so any table you see elsewhere needs checking against the official fee schedule.

How do I check the effect on my own products?

  1. Open the fee preview or revenue calculator in Seller Central for your top ASINs and note the fulfilment fee now.
  2. Compare it with a settlement or fee line from before 10 June 2026.
  3. Re-run your margins in the Amazon FBA calculator for Australia.
  4. Decide whether to pass the saving into price, ads or margin, rather than acting on a headline.

Amazon fees are quoted excluding GST. If you are registered for GST, how you claim any GST on fees is a tax question: confirm with the ATO or a registered tax agent. This is general information, not tax advice.

How should a fee cut change my pricing?

Only by the amount you can prove. Here is an illustrative case with an invented saving, since Amazon published none. Say a A$30 (GST-inclusive) item in a 0 to 250 g parcel tier sees its fulfilment fee fall by A$0.50, excluding GST. On 400 units a month that is A$200 a month, before any GST effect. Spread that over the unit and it is about 1.7% of the selling price.

You then have three options: hold the price and keep the margin, cut the price to win more Buy Box share, or put the saving into ads. Pick one on purpose. If you reprice on a guess and the real saving is zero for your tier, you have simply cut margin. Check the fee preview first, then change price. For ad targets, see ACOS and TACoS, which move when your fee base moves.

Sellers with large catalogues should sample by size tier and price band, because Amazon says reductions depend on category, size tier and item price.

FAQ

What are the Amazon Australia fee changes in 2026? Amazon reduced selected FBA and MCF fulfilment fees effective 10 June 2026, depending on category, size tier and item price, and introduced discounted multi-unit MCF rates. Other FBA and MCF fulfilment fees remain unchanged for now.

Did Amazon Australia raise any fees in 2026? Amazon's public pages show no 2026 fee increase. The 10 June 2026 announcement is a reduction. Amazon's most recent announced adjustment before that took effect on 1 August 2025. Check Seller Central news for anything newer.

Did the Amazon Australia referral fee change in 2026? No change is announced on the public pricing page, which shows rates such as 13% for Home and Kitchen and 12% for Toys and Games. Amazon publishes only the current table, so there is no dated history to compare.

Are the new FBA fees already in the pricing table? Amazon's page mentions the 10 June 2026 reduction, but the parcel table does not label which rows changed. Treat the fee preview in Seller Central for your own ASIN as the figure Amazon charges.

Do the fee changes include GST? No. Amazon states fees are in Australian dollars and do not include applicable taxes such as GST. Confirm your tax treatment with the ATO or an accountant.

Will Amazon change fees again? Amazon says it will continue reviewing its fees so they reflect the value it provides. It has not named further changes. Watch Seller Central announcements.
