By Blooprint team · Published 27 September 2026 · 8 min read

Key takeaways

  • FBN outbound fees run from 5.5 AED or SAR for a small envelope to 12.5 AED or 13 SAR for a 3 kg standard parcel above 25 average selling price.
  • Monthly storage is 1.5 AED and 2.5 SAR per cubic foot until 30 September 2026, then 1.75 AED and 2.75 SAR from 1 October 2026.
  • Long-term storage costs 25 AED or SAR per cubic foot beyond 365 days, and non-saleable stock 12 per cubic foot beyond 30 days.
  • Every FBN fee is exclusive of VAT, so add 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA, and file removal requests by the 25th to dodge ageing fees.

noon publishes its Fulfilled by noon rate card in full as a service annex to the seller terms, one per country, which makes FBN unusually easy to model compared with most marketplaces. The annexes were revised on 10 September 2026 and storage rises again on 1 October 2026, so a fee sheet you downloaded in August is already out of date. Everything below is the published position as of September 2026, read from the UAE and KSA annexes on 27 September 2026.

One rule applies to every line: all FBN fees are exclusive of VAT and are charged per unit based on the product's dimensions and weight. Add 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA. Locally VAT-registered sellers can normally recover that as input VAT using the noon fee tax invoices in Seller Lab; a non-resident seller on the cross-border lane generally cannot, which makes every number here effectively 5% or 15% higher for them. Rupee conversions are illustrative at Rs 23.50 per AED and Rs 23 per SAR.

What does FBN actually charge for?

The annex splits into four blocks. Default fees are the referral fee, the outbound fee and monthly storage. Circumstantial fees cover long-term storage, non-saleable storage, warranty, retention penalties, return administration and miscellaneous charges. Then there is the inventory removal fee for sending stock back to you, and optional inbound value-added services. There is no FBN subscription and no listing fee on the pages we read.

Referral fees are shared with the FBP annex and we cover the full category table in our noon seller fees guide. The short version as of September 2026: a minimum of 1 AED or 1 SAR per item, 27% on apparel and footwear, 14% as the all-other-categories default, 5% to 6% on phones and laptops, and a set of tiered rates that changed on 10 September 2026 — UAE cleaning and hygiene at 7.5% up to 50 AED and 14% above, UAE health nutrition at 8% up to 50 AED and 15% above, KSA cleaning and hygiene at 8% up to 50 SAR and 10% above, KSA sports and outdoors flat at 14%, KSA stationery at 15%. Brand and product-subtype exceptions sit in a separate exceptions sheet, so check yours before you price.

How is the FBN outbound fee worked out?

The outbound fee is posted per unit when the order first reaches Delivered or NDR, whichever comes first, and it is non-refundable even if the order is later returned. Three inputs set it: the size classification, the shipping weight, and whether the average selling price is above 25 in local currency.

Classification Longest side Median Shortest Packaging weight added Max shipping weight
Small envelope 20 cm 15 cm 1 cm 20 g 0.1 kg
Standard envelope 33 cm 23 cm 2.5 cm 40 g 0.5 kg
Large envelope 33 cm 23 cm 5 cm 40 g 1 kg
Standard parcel 45 cm 34 cm 26 cm 100 g 12 kg
Oversize 130 cm 34 cm 26 cm 240 g 30 kg
Extra oversize 130 cm 130 cm 130 cm 240 g 30 kg
Bulky Everything else 400 g Up to 140 kg

Shipping weight is your physical weight plus the packaging weight above, rounded to the nearest 50 g. If that breaches the maximum for your classification, the unit moves up a tier. Extra oversize excludes glass items such as mirrors and tabletops, which are classified as bulky whatever they measure.

What are the FBN outbound rates in the UAE and KSA?

These are the rates effective 10 September 2026, covering the tiers most exporters use. The ASP column is the one sellers forget: crossing 25 AED or SAR adds roughly 2 to 4 to every unit shipped.

Size tier and weight UAE, ASP up to 25 AED UAE, ASP above 25 AED KSA, ASP up to 25 SAR KSA, ASP above 25 SAR
Small envelope, one rate 5.5 7.5 5.5 7.5
Standard envelope up to 0.1 kg 6.0 8.0 6.0 8.0
Standard envelope up to 0.5 kg 6.5 8.5 6.5 8.5
Large envelope, one rate 7.0 9.0 7.0 9.0
Standard parcel up to 0.25 kg 7.2 9.2 7.2 9.2
Standard parcel 0.5–1.0 kg 8.5 10.5 8.0 10.0
Standard parcel 1.5–2.0 kg 9.5 11.5 9.0 12.0
Standard parcel 2.0–3.0 kg 10.5 12.5 10.0 13.0
Each additional kg to 12 kg +1.0 +1.0 +1.0 +1.0
Oversize up to 1.0 kg 10.5 12.5 10.0 14.0
Oversize 4.0–5.0 kg 14.5 16.5 14.0 18.0
Oversize 15–20 kg 29.5 31.5 29.0 33.0
Bulky up to 20 kg 33.0 35.0 33.0 37.0

Two country differences worth noting. The UAE annex nudged several standard-parcel and oversize rates up on 10 September 2026 — a 0.5 to 1.0 kg standard parcel above 25 AED went from 10.0 to 10.5 — while the KSA standard-parcel rates were largely unchanged. And at higher weights KSA is dearer above the 25 SAR threshold than the UAE is above 25 AED, which matters if you price the same SKU at the same nominal number in both markets.

What does storage cost, and what makes it expensive?

Storage fee UAE (AED per CBF) KSA (SAR per CBF) Trigger
Monthly storage, until 30 September 2026 1.5 2.5 Any stock in a noon fulfilment centre
Monthly storage, from 1 October 2026 1.75 2.75 Same
Long-term storage 25 25 Aged beyond 365 days
Non-saleable storage 12 12 Non-saleable stock aged beyond 30 days

Cubic feet are calculated as length times width times height in centimetres, divided by 28,317. Storage is billed on the item size and the number of storage days, and noon issues a separate FBN storage fee statement monthly, typically in the second week of the following month, with adjustments applied before the payout.

The 25th of the month is the date that matters. noon states that to avoid long-term and non-saleable storage fees, inventory removal requests for ageing stock must be placed by the 25th of every month. At 25 per cubic foot, long-term storage is roughly sixteen times the monthly rate, and the non-saleable bucket bites after just 30 days. The saleable and non-saleable Recommended RTV reports in Seller Lab exist precisely to tell you which units to pull — see our Seller Lab guide for where they sit.

What does it cost to get your stock back out?

The inventory removal fee is charged per unit on the greater of physical or volumetric weight, where volumetric weight is length times width times height divided by 5,000. It varies by collection method.

Removal line UAE (AED) KSA (SAR)
Minimum fee per removal request 15 15
Handling fee per unit 0.3 0.3
Same-city delivery, per kg 1.0 1.0
Cross-city delivery, per kg 1.0 2.0
Collection request, processing per CBF 0.8 1.0

Alongside those, the circumstantial block carries the charges you can avoid by operating well: a return administration fee at the lesser of 15 AED or SAR and 20% of the referral fee, on returns caused by the listing being wrong or the item being fake, damaged, used or incomplete; warranty fees where you cannot honour a claim; retention penalties for grievances arising from not following local law or noon policy; and miscellaneous charges such as counterfeit penalties. Inbound value-added services are optional and cheap — plain polybag or shrink wrap at 0.8 per unit, bubble wrap at 2.0, box with filler at 2.0 for envelopes and standard parcels and 2.5 for oversize — and they exist so noon does not reject stock that fails its packing guidelines.

A worked FBN example in AED, SAR and rupees

A 0.9 kg home-decor item packed at 30 x 22 x 12 cm, sold at 199 AED and 199 SAR. Packed dimensions put it in standard parcel; shipping weight is 0.9 kg plus 100 g of packaging, so 1.0 kg. ASP is above 25. Referral is 15% in the UAE and 14% in KSA for home lines. Assume the unit sits in stock one month, at 0.28 CBF, storage at the October 2026 rate.

Line UAE (AED) KSA (SAR) Illustrative INR (UAE)

Net before your product cost 148.13 132.79 3,481
noon's total take as a share of the customer price 20.8% 20.2% —

Note how similar the percentages are despite KSA's much higher VAT — because VAT is stripped out of the customer price first, the higher rate shrinks your VAT-exclusive revenue rather than inflating noon's cut. That is the single biggest difference between pricing for the UAE and pricing for KSA, and it is why the same nominal price yields materially less in Riyadh than in Dubai. Our UAE and KSA VAT glossary entry sets out the underlying rules, and FBN versus FBP compares this against fulfilling it yourself.

Where these numbers came from, and what is not published. Every rate above is from noon's UAE and KSA FBN annexes as of 27 September 2026. noon does not publish rates for warranty fees, retention penalties, miscellaneous charges or non-saleable liquidation — those are case-by-case or set in your own agreement, and we will not invent a range for them. The referral rates changed on 10 September 2026 and storage changes on 1 October 2026, so re-check the annex before you re-price.

FAQ

What are noon FBN fees? A referral fee by category, a per-unit outbound fee set by size tier, weight and average selling price, monthly storage per cubic foot, plus circumstantial charges and an inventory removal fee. All are exclusive of VAT, which is added at 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA.

How much is the FBN outbound fee? From 5.5 AED or SAR for a small envelope at an ASP up to 25, to 12.5 AED or 13 SAR for a 3 kg standard parcel above 25, rising through oversize and bulky tiers. Rates effective 10 September 2026.

How much does noon charge for storage? 1.5 AED and 2.5 SAR per cubic foot per month until 30 September 2026, then 1.75 AED and 2.75 SAR from 1 October 2026. Long-term storage beyond 365 days is 25 per cubic foot, and non-saleable stock beyond 30 days is 12.

Are FBN fees the same in the UAE and KSA? Close but not identical. Envelope rates match, several UAE standard-parcel and oversize rates rose on 10 September 2026, KSA is dearer at higher weights above the 25 threshold, storage is higher in KSA, and cross-city removal is 2 SAR per kg against 1 AED.

Can I dispute an FBN fee? Yes, on measurement. The FBN volumetric measurement dispute policy lets you challenge the dimensions noon recorded, and the DirectShip equivalent allows 14 days from statement generation. Fee detail sits in the weekly statements under Payments and Fees in Seller Lab.

How do I avoid long-term storage fees? Place inventory removal requests for ageing stock by the 25th of the month, and work the saleable and non-saleable Recommended RTV reports. Expired stock triggers an automatic return to vendor; customer returns, missing parts and extra items need you to raise the RTV yourself.

Getting your FBN numbers right

FBN is priceable to the dirham, but only if you measure the packed unit, know your exceptions sheet, watch the 25 AED or SAR ASP threshold and act on ageing stock before the 25th. We model that per SKU in AED and SAR and reconcile the weekly statements against orders as standing work in our noon account management service. Indian brands entering through the cross-border lane should read selling on noon from India first, then book a free audit.
