Noon Seller Fees Calculator: Commission, FBN Fee, VAT and Net Payout in the UAE and Saudi Arabia

By Blooprint team · Published 27 September 2026 · 8 min read

Key takeaways

  • The calculator applies a tiered referral fee, the FBN outbound fee and VAT on fees, then shows net payout and margin in AED or SAR with a rupee line.
  • Referral defaults come from noon's annexes for the tier effective 10 September 2026: 7.5% up to AED 50 and 14% above, or 8% up to SAR 50 and 10% above.
  • VAT is added to every noon fee at 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA, for VAT-registered and non-VAT sellers alike, and only registered sellers can recover it.
  • noon does not publish a separate payment-processing percentage in its UAE or KSA fee annexes, so that field defaults to zero and is yours to fill from your own statement.

noon seller fees and net payout calculator

This free calculator turns a noon price into a net payout. Enter the market, your price excluding customer VAT, your landed cost per unit, the referral tier for your category, the FBN outbound fee for your size and weight band, an allowance for returns, and it returns total fees, net payout, profit per unit, margin and an illustrative rupee line. It recalculates as you type and sends nothing anywhere. Every default below is taken from noon's own fee annexes as of September 2026; our noon seller fees guide explains the structure in prose, and the noon landed cost calculator is the tool to use if you still need to work out that landed cost from a rupee price.

Which fees does the calculator include?

  • Referral fee. A percentage of the sale price excluding VAT, by category, with a minimum of 1 AED or 1 SAR per item that the tool enforces. Many categories are tiered by price point, which is why the tool takes a threshold and two percentages rather than one rate.
  • FBN outbound fee. One charge per unit when noon fulfils, applied once an order is first marked Delivered or NDR, based on size tier, shipping weight and whether the average selling price is above the 25 AED or SAR line.
  • Payment processing. Defaults to zero, deliberately — see the note below.
  • VAT on fees. noon adds VAT to every fee: "noon fees are exclusive of VAT, so you must calculate the VAT value of the fees and commissions". That is 5% in the UAE and 15% in KSA, and noon states it applies "for VAT and non-VAT sellers" alike. Registered sellers recover it against the fee tax invoice noon issues; non-VAT and cross-border sellers cannot. See VAT in the UAE and KSA.
  • Return allowance. Not a noon fee at all, but a reserve you should model. At 5% of price it approximates a 5% return rate where the unit is not economically recoverable.

Why payment processing defaults to zero. We read noon's UAE and KSA FBN fee annexes in full. They list referral fees, FBN outbound fees, monthly storage, long-term and non-saleable storage, warranty, retention penalty, return administration, miscellaneous fees, inventory removal and value-added services. They do not publish a separate payment-processing percentage, and noon's payments processing policy is about statement timing and thresholds rather than a percentage charge. So we are not going to invent one. Leave the field at zero unless your own statement shows such a line, then enter what it shows.

What referral rates should you enter?

noon's UAE annex flags a set of category referral changes effective 10 September 2026, and keeps the earlier rates listed as effective until 9 September 2026. The tool's defaults are the Cleaning and Hygiene tier from the new table, because it is the clearest published example of the tiered shape. Some sampled rates, from the annexes:

CategoryUAE referral rateKSA referral rate
Cleaning & Hygiene (from 10 Sep 2026)7.5% up to AED 50, 14% above8% up to SAR 50, 10% above
Health Nutrition (UAE, from 10 Sep 2026)8% up to AED 50, 15% aboveSee KSA annex

Mobile phones, tablets, e-readers6% up to AED 500, 5% aboveSee KSA annex
Laptops and desktops6%See KSA annex
Anything not listed14%14%

Two mechanics matter when you fill in the two percentage fields. Some noon tiers are "X% for items with a sale price up to T, Y% above" — a whole-price switch, which is exactly what this tool models. Others are "X% for the portion of the price up to T, Y% for any portion above" — a marginal split, for example UAE furniture at 15% up to AED 750 and 10% above, or watches at 15% up to AED 5,000 and 5% above. For a marginal-split category, compute the blended rate for your price and put the same number in both fields. noon also notes product-type and brand-level exceptions published in a separate exceptions sheet, so check yours.

What FBN fee should you enter?

From the annexes effective 10 September 2026, for items with an average selling price above 25:

Size tier and weightUAE (AED)KSA (SAR)
Small envelope, one rate7.57.5
Standard envelope up to 0.5 kg8.58.5
Large envelope, one rate9.09.0
Standard parcel 0.5–1.0 kg10.510.0
Standard parcel 1.5–2.0 kg11.512.0
Standard parcel 2.0–3.0 kg12.513.0
Oversize parcel up to 1.0 kg12.514.0

Below the 25 average-selling-price line every band is roughly 2 units cheaper — a small envelope is 5.5 rather than 7.5, for instance. Above three kilos both annexes add 1 AED or SAR per extra kilo up to 12 kg. If you fulfil yourself under FBP or DirectShip, put your DirectShip fee or your own courier cost in the FBN field instead; the arithmetic is the same. FBN explains the model.

What the calculator deliberately leaves out

Storage and the circumstantial fees are not in the tool, because they depend on days in stock and on events rather than on the sale. Budget for them separately:

  • Monthly storage per cubic foot: 1.5 AED and 2.5 SAR until 30 September 2026, rising to 1.75 AED and 2.75 SAR from 1 October 2026.
  • Long-term storage for stock aged over 365 days: 25 per cubic foot in both markets. noon says removal requests for ageing inventory must be placed by the 25th of the month to avoid it.
  • Non-saleable storage in the UAE: 12 AED per cubic foot beyond 30 days.
  • Return administration in the UAE: the lesser of 15 AED or 20% of the referral fee, for seller-controllable return reasons.
  • Inventory removal: a 15 AED minimum per request, 0.3 AED per unit handling, plus per-kilo delivery or per-cubic-foot processing.

Worked example: the same price in Dubai and Riyadh

A home item at 120, landed cost 35, FBN standard parcel 0.5–1 kg above the 25 line, a 5% return allowance and no payment-processing line. Home rates are 15% in the UAE and 14% in KSA, so both sit above the tier threshold. Rupee conversion at an illustrative ₹23.50 per AED and ₹22.50 per SAR — both rates move daily.

Change one thing — apparel at 27% instead of home at 15% — and UAE fees jump to roughly 38% of price before the return allowance, which is why apparel exporters cannot simply convert their Indian price. Our noon vs Amazon.ae comparison runs the same test across both platforms, and how to sell on noon Saudi Arabia covers what else the 15% market demands. Building this model per SKU and then reconciling it against the weekly statement is part of our noon account management service.

FAQ

Does noon charge a payment-processing fee? Its UAE and KSA fee annexes do not publish one, and its payments processing policy covers statement timing and payout thresholds rather than a percentage charge. The field defaults to zero for that reason — fill it only from a line you can see on your own statement.

Is there a minimum referral fee on noon? Yes, 1 AED or 1 SAR per item sold. The calculator applies it when the percentage works out lower.

Why is VAT charged on fees if I am not VAT-registered? Because it is VAT on a service noon sells to you. noon states the VAT applies for VAT and non-VAT sellers alike. The difference is recovery: a registered seller reclaims it against noon's fee tax invoice, a non-VAT seller cannot.

How do I handle a category where the rate splits across a price threshold? If noon words it as "X% for items with a sale price up to T", it is a whole-price switch and the tool handles it directly. If it says "X% for the portion up to T", work out your blended rate for your price and enter that same figure in both percentage fields.

Are these rates current? They were read from noon's UAE and KSA FBN fee annexes in September 2026, which themselves flag category changes effective 10 September 2026 and storage changes effective 1 October 2026. Fee annexes move. Check yours in Seller Lab before you set a price you intend to keep.

Can I use this for FBP or DirectShip? Yes. Enter your DirectShip fee or your own courier cost in the FBN field. The referral fee and the VAT treatment are unchanged by the fulfilment model.
