A noon sales drop almost never has one cause, and it almost never starts with demand. In the accounts we look at, the common causes are mechanical: a price sitting outside a range noon set, an offer that stopped winning the Buy Box, content that only exists in English, an account-health metric that quietly triggered a stock pulldown. Each of those has a specific screen in Seller Lab and a specific fix.

Noon Sales Dropped? Twelve Causes and Fixes, in the Order You Should Check Them
By Blooprint team · Published 27 September 2026 · 8 min read
Key takeaways
- Most noon sales drops are visibility problems, not demand problems: a breached price range, a lost Buy Box or English-only content can take a live SKU off the shopfront.
- noon deactivates an offer outright if the uploaded price falls outside the global min and max range it sets from historical sales data for that product.
- Directship sellers must hold cancellations under 2.5% and late shipments under 3% over any seven days or face stock pulldown, offer deactivation or suspension.
- From 12 June 2026 Seller Lab enforces user roles strictly, so a team member who used to edit prices as a Viewer is now silently blocked.

- FAQ
This page is a diagnostic order, not a list of ideas. Work top to bottom, because the early checks explain the late ones. Everything here is from noon's own seller help centre, read on 27 September 2026, and applies to both an Indian brand selling cross-border and a seller already established in the UAE or KSA unless we say otherwise. If you are still learning your way around the portal, our noon Seller Lab guide maps the menus this page refers to.
1. Is the SKU actually live, or only active?
These are different states on noon and the distinction traps new sellers constantly. An offer can be active in your catalogue and still not be live on the shopfront. Check the Health tab on the product inside Catalog, or export the "not live items" report, which gives the reason per SKU. Treat everything below as an explanation of what that report says.
2. Has your price breached the global min or max?
This is the single most common silent killer. noon sets a global minimum and maximum price for every SKU from that product's historical sales data, published as x_noon_price_min and x_noon_price_max. noon states plainly that if a seller breaches this range, "the SKU will be deactivated, and will no longer be visible on the website". There is a second, optional range you set yourself, the partner min and max.
| Uploaded price | noon global range | Your partner range | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150 | 20–200 | 40–150 | Live at 150 |
| 30 | 20–200 | 40–150 | Not live — below your own minimum |
| 180 | 20–200 | 40–150 | Not live — above your own maximum |
| 10 | 20–200 | 40–150 | Offline — global minimum breached |
| 210 | 20–200 | 40–150 | Offline — global maximum breached |
Fix: this is the first thing we check on every account that comes to our noon account management service with a sales drop. Download your catalogue, read the min and max columns against every SKU, and correct the partner range before you change a price rather than after. A festive markdown that dips under your own floor goes dark exactly when you wanted traffic.
3. Are you losing the Buy Box rather than losing demand?
noon does not duplicate product pages. One page carries offers from several sellers, and the best offer wins the Buy Box button. noon names the parameters: offer price, seller reviews and ratings, seller score (order cancellations by the seller and respect for the chosen processing time), customer-initiated returns, and fast fulfilment via a short processing time. Importantly, noon says an FBN offer rating is affected by only two of these, offer price and customer-initiated returns.
Fix: open Account Health and Report, then Inventory Health. The Pricing Improvement view tags SKUs that won the Buy Box less than 60% of the time the previous day and shows the lowest winning price and the lowest external competitor price for that day. That turns "why did sales stop" into a price gap you can read.
4. Did an aggressive competitor arrive and you have no price engine?
noon ships a price engine in Seller Lab that captures real-time price changes and moves your price automatically within a range you authorise. You accept its terms under Legal and Tax, then set a price-engine minimum and maximum — and noon is explicit that the range must already take VAT, fees and commission into account. Two rules exist: internal_comp_only and internal_and_external_comp.
The trap: your price-engine range has to sit inside both the global min and max and your own partner min and max. Bulk uploads fail with "global min/max breached" or "PSKU min/max breached" for exactly this reason, and a failed upload leaves the old price in place.
5. Is your content English-only?
noon does not translate seller content. English is mandatory in the UAE and KSA and Arabic is optional — but noon warns that "if you only provide English content for a product being sold on the UAE website, that product might only get shown on the English website and be hidden from the Arabic one". In Egypt either language suffices, but one of them must be approved.
Fix: at minimum, add the Arabic title on your top SKUs. This is the cheapest visibility recovery available on noon and the one Indian sellers skip most often, because no Indian marketplace works this way.
6. Did something get rejected at content QC and you did not notice?
noon shows content status separately for English and Arabic, with four states: Content Pending, QC Pending, Approved and Rejected. It aims to decide within two to three business days. There are fatal rejections, which block the SKU, and suggestions for improvement, which do not. A rejected image or title on your best seller reads, from the outside, exactly like a demand collapse. Our noon listing rejection guide covers each reason and its fix.
7. Has your brand approval lapsed or never landed?
noon lists only verified brands. You can create Seller SKUs the moment you request a new brand, but noon says they "will only go live once our team confirms the information and approves your brand request". A brand rejection usually means noon wants more verification links; you resubmit under the exact same brand name with additional links. Note that once approved, the brand name in English and Arabic cannot be edited by you.
8. Is an account-health metric throttling you?
For Directship, noon publishes hard thresholds and hard consequences:
| Metric | Definition | Threshold |
|---|---|---|
| Cancellation Rate | Orders rejected by the seller or marked lost before handover, against all orders with an estimated shipping date in a seven-day period | Under 2.5% |
| Late Shipment Rate | Orders handed over after the estimated shipping date, against total shipped orders in a seven-day period | Under 3% |
noon states that failing these "will result in penalties including stock pulldown, offer deactivation, and even store suspension or termination". Recovery is not automatic: you email a Plan of Action to seller@noon.com containing a self-assessment of the cause and a correction plan. The FBP Performance dashboard also grades individual SKUs on cancellation rate — Fair below 2.5%, Poor between 2.5% and 5%, Very Poor above 5%, Unassessed under ten orders.
9. Are returns quietly delisting your best SKU?
The Return Reduction Dashboard, under Account Health and Report, reports your seller-controllable return rate over 90 days and classifies each SKU as fair, poor or very poor. noon describes "very poor" as excessive return rates "requiring immediate action or risking delisting". Its categories of seller-controllable return are bad fulfilment, wrong fulfilment, fake returns, used or pre-activated items, empty box and expired product. If sales fell on one SKU only, check this before anything else.
10. Did you fall out of the deal calendar?
Deal tags drive a large share of noon traffic and they are not permanent. Category deals need SKUs enrolled at least four days before the promotion starts, and noon approves or rejects flash and mega deal submissions three days before go-live. A deal price above noon's recommended enrollment price keeps you enrolled but loses you the deal tag, which is the visible part. Our noon deals and promotions guide sets out each deal type.
11. Is your inbound capacity locked?
For FBN, noon puts sellers into four performance tiers from an Inbound Performance Score, and access to additional scheduling capacity depends on the tier: early access at Gold, standard at Silver, locked at Bronze and Launchpad. A tier slip restricts how much stock you can book in, which shows up weeks later as an out-of-stock top seller. See noon seller tiers explained.
12. Did a team member lose the permission they were relying on?
noon states that from 12 June 2026 user permissions in Seller Lab are strictly enforced by assigned role: if a team member previously did something outside their role, such as a Viewer editing pricing or updating content, "that action will now be blocked". If your prices or stock stopped updating around that date, review your team list under user management before you look anywhere else.
What noon does not publish. noon gives no search-ranking documentation, no organic visibility scores and no published lag between a fix and recovered ranking. Anyone quoting you a noon algorithm weighting is guessing. What noon does give you is Vantage Analytics, which includes Partner Rank, Product Search Ranking and top search terms — ask your account manager or seller@noon.com if you cannot see it.
Working the list in the right order
Check price ranges and live status first, because they are binary and free to fix. Then Buy Box and pricing gaps, then content and brand, then account health, then the deal calendar. Advertising comes last: spending on a SKU that is hidden from the Arabic site or outside its price range simply buys clicks to a page that cannot convert — our noon ads guide assumes the fundamentals are already clean. If you want this run weekly rather than when sales have already gone, that is part of our noon account management service.
FAQ
Why did my noon SKU go offline without any notification? The likeliest cause is a price outside the global min and max range noon sets from that product's sales history. noon deactivates the SKU and it disappears from the site until the price or range is corrected.
How do I find out why an item is not live? Open the product in Catalog and read the Health tab, or export the not-live items report from Seller Lab. Each entry carries the reason, which maps to one of the causes above.
Does adding Arabic content really increase sales? noon warns that an English-only SKU may be hidden from the Arabic version of the site entirely. Adding at least the Arabic title restores that visibility, which is a different thing from improving ranking.
What happens if my cancellation rate goes over 2.5% on Directship? noon may pull down stock, deactivate offers or suspend the store, and it notifies you by email. To restore standing you submit a Plan of Action to seller@noon.com with a self-assessment and a correction plan.
Can noon delist a SKU for returns alone? noon describes a "very poor" seller-controllable return classification as requiring immediate action or risking delisting, so yes, returns on their own can cost you the listing.
Is a sales drop ever just seasonality in the Gulf? Yes. Ramadan, Eid and Yellow Friday reshape demand sharply, and the weeks after a major event are genuinely quiet. Rule out the mechanical causes first, then compare against the same period last year in Vantage Analytics.
