There is no public sign-up page for suppliers on talabat mart. talabat's UAE partner portal, read on 9 October 2026, is written mainly for restaurants and never mentions grocery or retail, and the talabat mart page names no suppliers and gives no supplier contact. A brand or distributor reaches talabat mart through its buying team, so the work is preparing a range, registrations and a terms list that a buyer can say yes to.

What is talabat mart, and who buys from you?
talabat mart is talabat's grocery service. Its UAE page promises delivery of everyday groceries in about 20 minutes and lists fresh produce, bakery, dairy and beverages. It presents itself as a talabat service, not as a marketplace where outside sellers set up a shop. Customers order from talabat mart itself, and the page does not name the manufacturers behind what it sells.
That matters for you in one way. You are almost certainly selling to talabat, not onto a seller dashboard. That is closer to supplying a retailer than to opening an account on Amazon.ae or noon. For the physical idea behind it, see the glossary entry on a dark store, a small warehouse that serves delivery orders only.
Check this first. Do not assume the restaurant partner steps apply. The talabat partner registration guide explains that route, and its page does not cover groceries or packaged goods.
What does talabat publish about supplier onboarding?
As of 9 October 2026, we found three things and no application form.
| What talabat or its partners published | What it tells a supplier | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Partner portal, written mainly for restaurants | Does not mention grocery or packaged goods | |
| talabat mart consumer page | Shows categories and the 20-minute promise; no supplier information | |
| Homegrown MOU, 16 May 2024 | A named route for UAE FMCG start-ups, with preferential terms that were not disclosed |
The Homegrown item is a trade-press report, not a talabat page, so treat it as context. It says talabat would integrate Homegrown's FMCG portfolio companies onto its mart platform and offer them preferential terms, and that the partners would run joint events and launches. If you are an early-stage UAE brand, find out whether you can come through an incubator or accelerator relationship like that one.
Everything else you read online about talabat mart margins, listing fees or supplier portals is, as far as we could verify, not from talabat. We do not repeat it.
How should you approach talabat mart as a supplier?
- Decide who you are. Brand owner, importer, distributor or manufacturer. A buyer wants to know who holds the product registration, who invoices and who carries stock.
- Find the buying contact. Use the contact routes on talabat's corporate pages and your existing trade network. Because no public form exists, a short, specific email beats a generic enquiry.
- Send a one-page range sheet. Product names, pack sizes, barcodes, shelf life, storage temperature, case size and the price you would charge.
- Offer something a dark store needs. Fast-moving lines with short shelf life, small pack sizes and reliable supply suit a store that holds a few thousand items in a small space.
- Ask for terms in writing before you ship. Use the checklist below.
What registrations should you have before you pitch?
For food and drink sold in Dubai, Dubai Municipality's food-safety page lists a service titled "Apply to Register and Assess a Food Item", among others. The page shows service titles only, with no fees or timelines, so confirm both on the service page or with the municipality. Our Dubai Municipality product registration guide goes through the process.
Have these ready before the first meeting:
- trade license that covers the activity, whether import, wholesale or manufacturing;
- product registration for each food item, where it is required;
- compliant labels. See the UAE food label requirements guide;
- halal certification where the product category calls for it. See the halal certificate guide;
- a GTIN barcode on each pack. See the glossary entry on a GTIN;
- a tax registration number, if you are VAT-registered. The mandatory VAT registration threshold is AED 375,000 and the voluntary threshold is AED 187,500, per the FTA page last updated 6 April 2026.
Not tax or legal advice. Confirm your own position with the Federal Tax Authority and the municipality that regulates your product.
Which terms should you ask for?
talabat does not publish supplier terms, so these are questions, not facts. Put them in an email and keep the reply.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Do you buy stock outright, or sell on consignment? | Decides who carries the risk of unsold stock |
| What is the margin or commission, and is it on the retail or the cost price? | Sets your net price per unit |
| What payment terms apply, and from which date do they run? | Decides the cash you must carry |
| Is there a listing, promotion or marketing contribution? | Often an extra cost on top of margin |
| What fill rate do you expect, and what happens if you miss it? | See fill rate |
| How are expiry, damage and returns handled? | Short-dated goods are the main loss |
| Which purchase-order process and delivery windows apply? | See purchase order |
| Can you set the retail price, or does talabat? | Affects your price position on other channels |
Reading across to other apps helps too. The Careem Quik, InstaShop and supermarket supplier guides use the same question list, so you can compare answers.
How do you work out whether the numbers work?
Use your own figures and keep the commission blank until talabat answers. A worked example with illustrative inputs only, not talabat terms:
- Shelf price to the customer: AED 12.00.
- Assume the buyer takes a margin of 30% of that price (an assumption for the arithmetic, not a talabat figure), which is AED 3.60. You invoice AED 8.40.
- Your cost of goods, packaging and inbound freight: AED 6.20 a unit.
- Contribution before overheads: AED 2.20 a unit, or about 26% of your invoice.
Now change the margin assumption to 35% and the contribution falls to AED 1.60. The point is not the number. It is that a five-point change in margin removes nearly a third of your contribution, so you need the real figure before you commit stock.
What if you sell directly to consumers online as well?
Selling through a delivery app and through your own channels can conflict if prices differ. If you also sell packaged goods on Amazon.ae or noon, keep pack sizes, barcodes and product names consistent across channels so that one set of product data serves all of them. Blooprint manages Amazon.ae and noon catalogues for brands, and that clean data is exactly what a buyer wants to see. The wider category rules are in how to sell food products online in the UAE.
FAQ
Does talabat mart have a supplier registration page? We did not find one. The UAE partner portal is written mainly for restaurants, and the talabat mart page is aimed at customers. On 9 October 2026 there was no public application form for packaged-goods suppliers, so approach talabat's buying team directly.
What is the Homegrown partnership with talabat mart? In May 2024 trade press reported an MOU under which talabat would integrate Homegrown's FMCG start-ups onto talabat mart with preferential terms and joint launches. The terms were not published, so ask Homegrown or talabat what applies to you today.
How much commission does talabat mart charge suppliers? talabat does not publish a supplier margin or commission. Any percentage you read on a blog is unverified. Ask the buyer in writing whether the margin is taken on retail or cost price and what other contributions apply.
Do I need Dubai Municipality registration to sell food on talabat mart? For food sold in Dubai, Dubai Municipality lists a food-item registration service, and a buyer will normally expect your products to be registered. We cannot say which items need it, so confirm item by item with the municipality.
Can a small brand supply talabat mart? Possibly, but talabat does not state a minimum order or volume. A small brand can improve its odds by offering a focused range, reliable supply and clean data. Ask what minimum volume the buyer expects before you build stock.
Is talabat mart the same as being a talabat restaurant partner? No. The restaurant partner route involves a tablet, a vendor portal and a 15-minute delivery radius per talabat's partner page. talabat mart is its own grocery service and sells to customers directly.
Who pays for expired or damaged stock? talabat does not publish this. Treat it as the first question on your list, because short-dated food is where suppliers lose money.
What to do next
Write your one-page range sheet, collect your registrations and send the question list above to talabat's buying contact.
